@bla_bidza Thank you. Liquidity is improving but not at satisfactory levels. We have put most of our effort in new listings and we will continue so. Now time to balance a bit and work on improving liquidity
“Her Loss” is my favorite Drake album for his unapologetic audacity in his delivery. The way he flexed—his wealth, his success, his possessions, his wild sex escapades—while recklessly dismissing the relevance of his peers. That’s how I expect a single billionaire to talk!🤷🏽♀️
The Shingai Itai Consortium, led by Philisiwe Sibiya and Sam Kachikoti, has acquired Choppies’ remaining South African outlets, trading as Jwayelani, along with a meat-processing plant.
Shingai already has a presence in retail: it runs African Basket, a distributor of Zimbabwean products in the SA market.
The deal comes as Choppies continues to exit regional markets to concentrate on its Botswana base.
P.S.
If I ever post anything you think is unfair or a misrepresentation or you want to give additional context to, please DM.
I rely on public information and analysis of data and also not held to any position so will adjust based on new information.
2/Pension funds are ideal source of savings. They are long term in their outlook. They have to balance between asset classes including debt.
Majority of Zimbabwean economy is informal, take your pick but generally agreed above 60%. Hence my previous call to come up with a pension fund for the informal sector. You can't grow your capital markets whilst excluding majority of your people. We will need to nail a solution for this.
Thanks for those who reached out on the this. We intend to get it done shortly in partnership with other players.
