Rationalism, Secularism, and Empiricism: Public policy, science, and law are ideally guided by critical inquiry, verifiable evidence, and open debate rather than dogma, religious authority, or inherited tradition.

Economic Liberty and Property Rights: Legal recognition of private ownership, enforceable contracts, and market-based economies where individuals can pursue enterprise, commerce, and innovation.

So exactly who is immigrating legally or illegally) here that doesn't agree with this?

Love it! You are argumentatively correct in all of your justifications IN FAVOR OF, the technological realities of Musk's (unarguably) mighty endeavors.

He certainly has a big wallet. His big appetite goes without saying.

But you haven't (effectively) netted out the TOTAL value against the TOTAL cost, to convince me all of this is worthwhile. Keep in mind as a species we're supposed to evolve. Not stagnate.

If EVs result in SIGNIFICANTLY less or a SIGNIFICANT reduction in overall fossil fuel consumption, I'm for it.

They don't.

If better made better technology Chinese EV's were allowed in the US with high tariffs to compensate for Chinese Government attempts to undercut pricing (like usual), in order to create more Capitalism competition, and weren't actually conveniently blocked to give Tesla a politically favored monopoly, I'm for it.

They aren't.

If Starlink was unblockable, was a regulated public utility, didn't pollute the Earth's orbit, or was out of the way of Astronomy, I'm for it.

It isn't.

If SpaceX offered any chance of actual real useful Space travel or colonization, and wasn't merely a returned favor and political gratitude for Musk's heavyweight thumb on the scale, I'm for it.

It isn't.

If a single Robot can pick a strawberry better (and faster) than a human for LESS THAN $4 a basket, in HIGH temperatures, I'm for it.

They can't.

If Neuralink could actually work long term, glitch-free, and not be immediately rejected by the body's natural immune systems, I'm for it.

It can't.

Certainly ALL of these are worthwhile "Hobbies" for an obscenely rich hobbyist who likes to tinker in his garage. But I (respectfully) object to their attempted market capitalization and commercialization by calling them successful.

You also didn't address the deeper, and far greater concerning impacts of Twitter being a proven commercial disinformation platform.

You also skimmed over the impact of directly interfering with the Democratic process by attempting to buy the disinformation of public opinion, and steer it towards favorable election results, in return for securing (backroom?) lucrative contracts from helping the winning side gain political and administrative purchasing power.

I would also add to the discussion, the fact that Musk is allegedly medicating with mood altering drugs, and recently has been reported to be "sad".

If true (and we both know it vety likely is), this is not a good combination to be including in anyone's short or long term stock portfolio strategy.

Nevermind it's definitely not a Buy, or even a Hold. As the market is now beginning to show, it is an immediate Sell.

What's the value? And at what cost?

EVs are not an ecological free lunch: opening open-pit mines, processing battery chemicals, and generating terawatt-hours of electricity all impose real environmental costs.

In the first Developed World people are swapping gas engine cars for EVs. But in the Developing 3rd World EVs are being added to the fleet. Not tefucung has engine cars. Most of the 3rd World relies on coal plants for energy and their demand for electricity is rising not falling.

So a bit, but not all that much value. For a very high cost.

Starlink is slow. And polluting the orbit of the Earth preventing telescopes from researching into Space requiring telescopes be sent out past Starlink. That's slow Internet getting in the way of science. Starlink can be easily blocked by rogue states do the impact on Freedom is arguable.

SpaceX is merely Uber for NASA. I'm not sure what value there is in going back to the moon. We can't mine it. We can't live there. Same goes for Mars except we know we privzbky won't survive the trip there, nevermind set up a base, nevermind return to earth. The suggestions we can are ludicrous when you look at the facts.

So almost no value. For a very high cost.

That leaves neuralink, robots, and Twitter.

Neuralink is reprogramming the brain. So I kind of need that regulated.

Robots are expensive, can't lift 50lbs, or work more than a few hours before needing to be charged. I thought we were trying to get rid of breaks!

That leaves Twitter. Which is utterly worthless but still a HUGE social liability.

So those are the products and services and engineering balancing their costs with their benefits.

Is it worth it? Is it worth creating one person a Trillionaire capable of changing elections and governments to suit their needs?

I personally don't think so. Does what I think matter? Arguably.

What's the advance? Surveillance satellites? A Slow starlink internet Monopoly?

NASA decided to privatize it's launch and payload deliveries. So it can focus on bigger projects. SpaceX is a subcontractor.

NASA developed the rocket technology over 70 years. SpaceX merely picked up after NASA's proving.

SpaceX has crashed 40 rockets. Even more second stages.

SpaceX is an Uber that NASA calls when it needs a ride to the Space Station.

SpaceX has not successfully launched a Moon mission. Even if it does. It will be as a service NASA hires it for.

If you want to compare NASA to SpaceX, SpaceX would need to successfully land people on the moon and bring them back.

Musk is promising this. And he's raising money on his promise. Doing it is another thing.

I don't think he can.
