@mlbbowman@RealCJ10 Thanks for your coverage of Braves baseball for decades, Mark. I started following them in 1957, friends with my hero Eddie Mathews, loved Spahn, Hank, Knucksie, Horner, Murph and Chipper, own stock in the team, loved Freddie and now Olson. Chop on, Mark! Go Braves!
Thank you @RealCJ10 for presenting me with this Lifetime Pass, give to all employees who have spent 25 years with MLB. Thank you to MLB, the Braves and the countless folks who have made this an incredible ride.
Happy Birthday to Lloyd Marshall a member of Murders Row. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2010. He passed away in 1997 at the age of 83. 🥊🙏🏼
@nicoaliwalsh Nico, you and your grandfather are together every day as you follow his lead, practice his teachings, and reflect Ali’s character in your own life. All of us whose lives were touched by your Ali are grateful. Was he perfect? No. Was he great in and out of the ring? Yes.
10 years ago today, the world lost a hero and I lost my grandfather.
A man of principle, honor, and unwavering conviction. I try every day to live by those same values.
Until we meet again 💫
Lou Gehrig was my historical baseball hero ... the guy who i read every book about when i was a kid. His name is forever linked with ALS and, for me, it links him with my late buddy Russ Pallesen. Russ was smart af, good looking, accomplished, athletic and a fitness nut ... it took too long to get diagnosed correctly and the disease progressed too quickly. I miss him and hope to see both breakthroughs for those enduring what he did, and an eventual cure for this insidious disease.
