"70% of the jobs that exist today will not exist in 2030. How are we doing that transition?
Organizations need to come to a solution that's ethical and combine humans and AI in the organization chart. AI should never be allowed the autonomy to fire human beings
Dr. Tariq Qureishy
The takeaway: redundancy, agreed error levels, and compliance with local and industry regulation. That's what turns a successful demo into a successful contract.
7/7
According to Alexander Khanin,
A great physical AI demo ≠ a commercial deployment.
Demos show functions. Contracts bring SLAs: 99.95% still allows ~22 min of downtime a month, and airports and seaports want more nines. Add false alarms at scale, plus regional regulation.
(1/7)
Regulation: a great VLM or LLM isn't enough in healthcare, telecom, or other regulated industries. Rules differ by country, and what's allowed in Europe may not be allowed in the US.

"I think one of the best ways for us to protect the employees is to give them permission to pause.
And also establishing something like a code word or something that only the internal employees would know."

"Remove AI from the pitch deck. Would the company still have customers? Would it still get investment? Most of what I see are wrappers on frontier models, and next month's release will close the gap they're built around." - Pavel Nesterov
Some interesting discussions from AI & Digital Qazaqstan 2026. A thread
"We need a sort of FDA for algorithms" - Olaf Groth
"It's vital for governments to admit when something goes wrong" - Ian Slater
Main takeaways
- US and China will continue to dominate AI industry at least for a decade
- Smaller countries have opportunities in developing smaller models and deciding what to apply
- Regulation is necessary
- Sovereignity is as important for governments as is for individuals
“I think the most important thing I connected with here was the human connections. I made a lot of friends, had a lot of fun, and definitely learned a lot.”
