“There are so many fascinating minds around, from all over the world.”
Meet @StefMastella, who first joined Ipê Village last year and later became part of the Ipê team as a journalist, writing our weekly newsletter.
This year, he returned as an Architect and built Ipê MindTree, a collective intelligence and institutional memory tool for the community.
“I really enjoyed spending time here because of the amazing community. Every single day, we were spending time like family, exchanging valuable skills and innovating across different aspects of our professions.”
Meet @0xbaci, a programmer from Lithuania who joined us at Ipê Village 2026 as an Architect and built Wabisabi, an amazing tool for creators.
If you’re in São Paulo for @tokennation_io next Saturday, let's meet!
A small group of builders, curious minds, and friends from the Ipê City community are getting together for dinner.
🗓️ June 1st, 7:30 PM
📍 São Paulo
More info on the Luma link in the next tweet.
See you there!
Last month, I was part of an incredible experience with 9 artists and scientists at Floripa, thanks to @artizen and @ipecity.
We took part in the Artizen House, where we organized events, talks, and coworking sessions with this amazing group
We don’t have a photo of all of us🫥
Ipê News #39 is out 🙌
@ipecity hosts a Florianópolis meetup on May 28 with Roman from @zcash on the redesigned shielded pool and private information retrieval for payments. Jean Hansen and Vitoria Santos speak at TokenNation in São Paulo on June 1–2 about network states, cities, and onboarding women into Web3.
@coinbase x402 gives HTTP 402 a real use case: USDC micropayments so AI agents can pay per API call or trade services with other agents, without logins or credit cards. We first covered the protocol in edition #1.
The US and the Philippines are close to a 1,620-hectare Economic Security Zone at New Clark City inside Pax Silica, with Foxconn, Agility Robotics, Joby Aviation, and Valar Atomics on site. Manila says the zone will run under Philippine SEZ law, not US administration.
Can Tho is building a Mekong Delta innovation hub with Innovation Hub 4.0, a new science fund, 68 startups, and regulatory sandboxes aimed at a national pole by 2030.
@xmaquina is opening humanoid robotics capital markets to DAO governance through xDEUS votes, its Robotics Capital Markets protocol, and DEUS Labs incubation. Robotico is already live.
Health Protocol on @zksync Prividium keeps PHI off chain, publishes anonymized ZK scorecards, and lets donors fund Community DAOs with the HLTH token.
Also: The Enhanced Games league, a Claude Code stack that grew from a hackathon to 188K GitHub stars, and OSIRIS, an open-source intelligence globe in the browser.

“I think the most important thing I connected with here was the human connections. I made a lot of friends, had a lot of fun, and definitely learned a lot.”
Meet Bruna, who joined Ipê Village 2026 as an explorer and discovered that Ipê is not only for technical builders, but for anyone curious, open to learning, and willing to grow with the community.
“Coming to Ipê has been one of the most special experiences for me... The best thing I found here was hope"
Meet @dayon_news, a psychologist who joined Ipê Village 2026 to build Ipê Exchange, an intelligent market for an intelligent city.
We usually joke about this, but isn't it crazy how hard it still is to connect a computer to a TV, Wi-Fi, or a printer in a Hacker House? Let alone set up a more sophisticated environment with AI or onchain servers.
That's because most places were not built for an Internet-native society.
Hacker houses for startup societies should be reimagined. Internet, AI, and onchain infrastructure should be integrated into the project from the beginning, just like energy, water, and gas.
The house should have private local infrastructure for computing, agents, and blockchain nodes; built-in eyes, ears, and a mouth (cams, mics, and speakers) for agents to communicate; screens for agents to express themselves visually; sensors with easy interfaces; etc.
That's something I'll be working on at @ipecity as we build our first Villa in Floripa. I think we can create better spaces for creative teams.
What would you like to see in an AI-native hacker house?
Take Pix scale as baseline, remove government, add encryption.
Looking forward to discussing how Zcash works today, plus the protocol breakthroughs coming this year: a redesigned shielded pool and a payments stack built on private information retrieval.
Ipê Meetup | May 28, Florianópolis 🌿
Food and drinks to open. Then a workshop on the protocol work that is finally making private money fast and usable in 2026.
Speaker: @akhtariev , engineering contributor to Zcash / Valar Group.

“I didn’t know it would be that great. I actually realized I’m not the crazy one, there are a lot of crazy people here who also think building a new city is a good idea.”
Meet @iggynore, a Brazilian builder who spent 17 years living in Denmark and is now coming back to Brazil. His first stop was Ipê Village 2026.
