We hope our friends at @ChestnutsPark @LordshipRec and others will back our call for a better deal from @perayahmet @mikehakata. All we’re trying to do is make our small patch of green space nicer, but @haringeycouncil has other ideas.

We are deeply upset and angry with @haringeycouncil for destroying our carefully cultivated wildflower meadows with their blundering lawnmowers. We’ve told them repeatedly about what we are doing but they simply did not care.

It cost us £200 to plant the hedgerows. All ruined.

To be clear, the Friends:

✅ raised funds and volunteered time to plant wildflowers and hedgerows
✅ supplied the Parks Department with this map more than once
✅ asked to be told when the lawnmowers would be out

Just so dispiriting when all we want to do is improve our park.

PNPs is an exciting new programme held at various parks in Haringey. These sessions are offered free to all residents in Haringey, with an aim of encouraging people who are less active, over 50s, girls and women, people with disabilities and CAME communities to get involved.

For the second time in a week, our park is playing host to @LDNairamb. A spectacular sight but it means there’s been another incident in the area. We hope everyone in the neighbourhood is all right.

We’re aware two sets of streets lamps in and around the park are not working right now and it’s making the path very dark. We’ve informed @haringeycouncil but it always helps to encourage them along if you can report it too.
