What happened to Pete Buttigieg and his family is horrifying and should never happen to anyone — yet not one word of support from Trump.

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg revealed on Substack that his family was targeted in a terrifying swatting-style attack: a false report to Child Protective Services about him and his four-year-old twins.

A CPS worker showed up at their home. They interviewed the children without any family member present, told Buttigieg he could not be alone with his own kids until the investigation progressed, and left the family in limbo for 24 agonizing hours.

"I was bewildered and troubled, but tried to stay calm," he wrote. "The twenty-four hours until they returned are among the darkest hours of my life."

The allegation was completely unfounded. Buttigieg is now furious and says he will pursue civil and criminal charges against whoever made the false report.

This isn't politics. This is weaponizing the system against someone's children. No family should have to go through this.
