Reflecting after giving my first course has made me realize that I’m one of the few folks that get to truly do what they love. Had a blast educating and can’t wait to it again.
Getting tired of the saying “the patient failed physical therapy.” Physical therapy is not a “treatment.” Dig a little deeper and what they failed is Hot packs, Ultrasound & Massage (HUMMERS). Physical therapists are too often defined by what they do rather than what they know.

@TimRethornSPT Shouldn’t every PT have that desire to be self aware and develop inter personal communication? It’s hard to teach and self reflection should be encouraged constantly.
@TimRethornSPT The amount of things we don’t know in PT are astounding. We are just scratching the surface on helping people at the highest level. Things will change. But it will take time

@TimRethornSPT Yes key for every population but what would you remove from current PT curriculum? Or... is it worth extending therapy school. Agree on importance but might need to be refined after graduation.
