One of the worst things about social media is it's made some people think that literally everything that happens in their life should be 'content' for public consumption.
Instead of living life, they're always thinking about clicks, views, and validation from strangers.
You cannot claim that you’re aborting your Down syndrome child because you don’t want him to “suffer.” First of all, killing a child so they don’t suffer is psychopath serial killer logic. You’re on the same moral plane as Andrea Yates. Second, children with Down syndrome are famously some of the happiest people you’ll ever meet in your life. They are not in fact living in a state of perpetual torment. So what’s really happening is that you’re killing your child so that YOU won’t suffer the inconvenience of caring for him. This is about freeing yourself of your own perceived suffering. If you’re going to be a child killing sociopath, at least be honest about it.
Over the last several months, a lot of people have asked me about my campaign for the United States Senate in Iowa. I've been relatively quiet about it, and I think it's time to be honest about what happened.
The truth is simple: we never really got off the ground.
There was a lot of excitement early on. Many people were fired up about the possibility of a grassroots campaign, and I am grateful to every person who offered support, encouragement, and their time. But enthusiasm alone doesn't build a winning campaign. Looking back, I did not build the team that was needed to be successful. I should have been better prepared, better organized, and moving at a much larger scale as critical deadlines approached.
When Congresswoman Ashley Hinson entered the race and immediately secured President Trump's endorsement, the political landscape changed dramatically. As support consolidated around her campaign, many people who had expressed interest moved on. Invitations to speak slowed down, petition signatures became harder to gather, and the momentum we needed simply never materialized.
At the same time, my family was navigating major changes in our personal lives that demanded my attention and commitment. When I looked at everything honestly, it became clear that the campaign was not where it needed to be to move forward.
I take full responsibility for that.
To everyone who believed in this effort and felt disappointed by how it ended, I am sorry. You deserved a stronger campaign, and that's on me.
But this is not the end of the story.
Many months ago, I made the decision that if I was going to run for the United States Senate, I was going to do it the right way. That is why I am officially announcing that I am beginning preparations for a serious campaign for the United States Senate in 2028. Grassley is 92 years old, out of touch, and leaving his options open for 2028.
By then, Iowa will once again have the opportunity to choose its future. For too long, career politicians and powerful interests have dominated Washington while everyday Americans have watched their voices become less important. I believe Iowa is ready for leaders who understand the struggles of working families, small business owners, farmers, veterans, and everyday citizens because they have lived those experiences themselves.
This campaign will not be built overnight. It will not be built by consultants, special interests, or foreign influence. It will be built by Iowans and US supporters.
Over the next two years, we will focus on building the organization, the volunteer network, and the grassroots movement necessary to compete and win. We will travel across the state, listen to communities that have been ignored, and bring together people who believe our government should answer to the American people—not wealthy donors, lobbyists, or outside interests.
This is our opportunity to send a message to Washington: Iowa belongs to Iowans.
If you supported us before, I hope you'll stand with us again. If you've never been involved in politics, now is the time to get involved. Join us early. Help us build something real. Help us create a campaign that cannot be ignored.
The road to 2028 starts today.
And together, we're going to make sure the voices of Iowa are heard loud and clear in Washington, D.C.

Have You Ever Feared You’ve Sinned so Greatly That God Won’t Forgive You?
“What! saith Satan, dost thou think that thou shalt ever obtain mercy by Christ, that hast sinned with so high a hand against Christ?...No! no! saith Satan, he hath mercy for others, but not for thee…
“…The first remedy against this device of Satan is, to consider, That the greater your sins are, the more you stand in need of a Saviour.…
“…The second remedy…That the promise of grace and mercy is to returning souls.…
“…third remedy…That the greatest sinners have obtained mercy, and therefore all the angels in heaven, all the men on earth, and all the devils in hell cannot tell to the contrary, but that thou mayest obtain mercy.…
“…fourth remedy…That Jesus Christ hath nowhere in all the Scripture excepted against the worst of sinners that are willing to receive him, to believe in him, to rest upon him for happiness and blessedness.…
“…fifth remedy…That the greater sinner thou art, the dearer thou wilt be to Christ, when he shall behold thee as the travail of his soul.…
“…sixth remedy…That the longer you keep off from Christ, the greater and stronger your sins will grow.
“…seventh remedy…That as there is nothing in Christ to discourage the greatest sinners from believing in him, so there is everything in Christ that may encourage the greatest sinners to believe on him.…
“...eighth remedy…The absolute necessity of believing in Christ.…”

@ekkiet@ChrisGeorgeBerg In my experience, someone who claims the title “Messianic Jew” over against the title “Christian” is more than likely someone who is closer to the Galatians that Paul was writing against than the people the letter to the Hebrews was written to
This is probably a long shot, but if anybody happens to be in DC this weekend and plans on visiting Arlington, I would love to see a fresh photo of my husband’s grave in Section 60.

There’s just something about knowing people still stop by, still say his name, still remember. 🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸
It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered.
You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day.
This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm.
The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone.
A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time.
Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans.
We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all.
Fix the time zones and affix standard time.
@RolandArgues@Avalanche@DriveToyota It was sooooo sloooow in Tampa. Everyone was flying in Denver and then it was like they were playing in molasses in Tampa. Seems to be the running theme for these southern teams as it gets further into summer.
“We have to primary Thomas Massie because he was soft on immigration and went against Trump’s agenda!”
Meanwhile Trump holds a rally for a guy trying to pass an amnesty package, and there is nothing but crickets from the complissident right
@bebookled Nah, that needs to stay off the list since Midwesterners don’t need that manual (it’s our culture, too) and the jokes about the snow are in good fun
