I want to hear "wise, old man rap" when rappers are like 50-60 and have a life's worth of vocabulary, song ideas, and rhythms to play with. Would imagine it would have more chill, mature beats and subject matter. Nas latest album made me think about this.

Bums me out that Daft Punk got in the studio with Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams and came out with "Get Lucky". Well made song, but imagine if they did it earlier in their careers and made music somewhere between "Good Times" & "Around The World".

Producers, you gotta make friends in every time zone so you can get track feedback at any time of day.

When finishing a song, try mixing each group really well and saturating it, then export to a new project. You'll have less channels, fx, automation to remember and the saturation should make your groups more cohesive and boost harmonics that fill out the mix.
