This afternoon, the CCU is proudly participating in todayโs Clean Cooking Cook-Off at St. Kizito High School, Namugongo.
Together with partners @IRENA and CIGS, we are showcasing evidence-based, practical demonstrations on modern clean cooking technologies: electric, LPG, improved biomass and solar-aided solutions.
This is more than a competition. It is an opportunity to correct misinformation, engage young people and inspire a shift toward safer, healthier and more sustainable cooking solutions for Uganda.
๐ก Clean cooking is the future.
๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ณ And today, weโre showing why.
#CleanCookingUG #EnergyTransition #IRENA #Uganda
Briquettes and clean cooking stoves are climate-smart solutions powering the shift to renewable energy. They reduce indoor air pollution, energy costs and cut toxic emissions proving that clean energy can be local, affordable, and sustainable.
#GreenEnergy#SDG7#EnergyJustice
We saw another amazing thing , students making their own furniture using construction waste like old plywood!
Talk about resourcefulness, sustainability, and hands-on skills.
These are life skills that go beyond the classroom.

Transforming Waste into Wealth ๐Let's shift from destruction to abundance. Discover innovative projects that turn waste into wonder eg briquette making, fishery fed by recycled waste, artifacts from plastics, hydroponic system. @stkizitoschools@Fridays4FutureU#ClimateAction.
At @stkizitoschools, leftover student food doesnโt go to waste , itโs recycled into fish feed for their aquaculture project! ๐

Visited the Center for Inclusive Green Skills at St. Kizito, led by @BryanKaks ๐ฑ๐ฅHis briquette & plastic recycling projects are real, scalable solutions to climate challenges. As an Oil & Gas student, Iโm now integrating renewables into my journey.๐Thanks @G4ClimateAction
A project born out of a simple conversation I had during @COP29_AZ with Selena Marwaha and funded during @IRENA youth forum in Abu Dhabi and now being launched @stkizitoschools in Uganda.
Weโve launched the Sustainability by Tech Hub UG at St. Kizito Schools Namugongo! A space to equip youth with #AI, #robotics & #coding skills to solve real sustainability challenges
