Our team is going to NatCon 22 in a few weeks! We are excited to show everyone attending what SageSurfer can do!
Are you going? We would love to meet up with you - just comment below!
#NatCon22#mentalhealth
There are digital health companies out there that take advantage of the way things are. That set up providers or health plans or employers to profit at the expense of the patient.
I don't work for one of those companies.
We work to put the patient first in all we do.
What does it really mean to be patient-first?
Unfortunately, we live in a healthcare system that is convoluted.
In a true market, what's best for the consumer will win out. But healthcare isn't a true market.
When mental illness is comorbid with other chronic conditions, it affects a patient's health in unique ways.
That's why it is vital to treat the whole patient and coordinate with all stakeholders in that patient's health.
When you're talking treatment, you're often not talking about one condition at a time.
Comorbidities are all too common, and they make a real difference to the bottom line.
Deciding which ad platform to use can be daunting.
So I made a map to help you battle it out:

When launching a new campaign, don't throw everything on the metaphorical table at once.
Iron out the kinks with an organic launch, then proceed from A-Z.
Resolve the errors with a trusted few, then go all in.
Startups overestimate the impact competitors have on whether they are going to sell or not.
More often than not, you're going to be selling against inaction, not competitors.
So the question becomes, how do you make that inaction a pain point?
Life is nuts.
But it's nuts for everyone else in the world too.
You could be producing the best of the best content with a perfect product and wondering, "why the heck hasn't anyone noticed me yet?"
Ask.
Ask to be noticed.
Declare what you want.
Founders trust founders.
People trust people who trustworthy people trust.
That’s why I find the creation of community so valuable. And why we gather together as influencers of digital health.
If you haven’t joined us by now, here’s where we do it:

People can tell when you’re selling to sell.
If they don’t know it consciously, they feel it.
That’s why before every sales call, I take 30 seconds to realign with my intention.
Am I selling to help this startup and fix healthcare, or am I trying to hit my quarterly numbers?
I like to fail on purpose.
It keeps me fresh--and less scared of the disappointment that comes with failing by accident.
So instead of trying to run away from it, I like to invite failure into the passenger seat and take it along for the ride.

All the time, I talk to HealthTech startups wanting to transition from a sales prospecting model to sustainable lead generation.
I've lived this.
But it's doable. It's actually really doable.

Rodney Hu asked me to be on his podcast HealthTech Hustle a few months back.
He and I got together via zoom to discuss tactical drivers for innovation in digital health--and why investing in long-term success is the way to go.

I want you to fail.
Er, let me rephrase that.
I want to teach you to create an experimentation system that helps you fail...safely.
Because life without testing the limits doesn’t get you to where you want to go.
Join me May 25th for all the info.

I was once a nauseous MBA student sitting in a Healthcare Economics class.
Nauseous, because I was, for the first time, being made privy to the healthcare costs accumulated by an active fee-for-service system.

I measure my professional success by generative effect--as in what I can do that helps you, that eliminates waste in healthcare, to fix the broken healthcare industry.
That's one of the reasons we chose the new name “Generate Health.”
