@TheBake41849889 I think you’re probably close to, if not, done adding power conference opponents. I could see one more added. The first 2 years under Kelsey you had 6 so I would say it will be similar this year. UK had 5 in year 1 under Pope and 6 last year. They are pretty similar.
@TheBake41849889 UK plays Kansas, Indiana, Virginia, Louisville and UNC. UL plays TTU, Oregon or St John’s, Players Era game, Texas and UK. Looks like 5 pretty good OOC games for each team.
@Dastrunk@KySportsRadio Then how come other schools do it? Michigan just won it all and they are going to Lithuania and Croatia this summer. Purdue has a trip, Indiana has a trip. Lots of programs have trips.
@davevowels@ByPatForde College athletics has a major spending problem. A tennis program shouldn’t cost that much. But between coaches salaries, scholarships for 20 athletes, recruiting expenses, travel for matches, etc…it adds up quick. 6 coaches for 20 tennis players is also insane.
@okaywhatno@DogeUky68114 Fair enough, you are correct. The tickets increased by 2 and the base salary increased by 150k. Regardless of the timing, it’s all bs, which I believe we both agree on.
@okaywhatno@DogeUky68114 That’s incorrect. If you read his contract (2023 amendment starts in page 53 of this docent), it was all added in 2023. https://t.co/4T09nlGBFe
@TomFornelli Agree 100%. Let the conference champions all experience Thursday or Friday of the first round. Save the Dayton experience for teams that squeaked in via at-large. Make all 11 seeds the play-in games
