Disconnected price actions with business results can create incredible buying windows. I’ve been super bullish on this with $NOK and $CELH
I believe the same holds true for $ZETA and $SOFI
Who else are you putting in this category?
Long term Celsius has an opportunity to be more than a player in energy. The “live fit”
King has the potential to be a lifestyle brand that lives in almost every category outside of cola & maybe juice. The following categories all offer a play:
Premium/enhanced water- think body armor water or gatorades g water
Electrolytes/sport drinks- Gatorade dominates this space. This fits really well with the active lifestyle they brand themselves with. Monster tried this with monster hydro in 2016/2017. Potentially ahead of its time.
RTD protein- logical play in the health and wellness space. 2 offerings. 20-25g and a 37-42g offering
RTD coffee- long shot here but think Starbucks double shot/black rifle. It fits in with the expertise in the caffeinated space.
RTD tea space- MAJOR DARK HORSE. Adding a functional element to a declining tea catagory could be an easy path to quickly steal major share. They already use green tea extract for the caffeine in there core offerings. This wouldn’t be so far out of their reach.
These plays all offer a route to get them into additional doors in the cold vaults and into different aisles in grocery. This is the end goal to growing the brand into more than an energy drink company.
Which route do you think they should go/will go? $CELH @CelsiusOfficial #celsius #cpg #beverage #energydrink
@naturesky287 i havent seen anything yet. i'd imagine that folding in alani/rockstar & international expansion will be phase 1 and this is probably a bit further out on the time horizion
i enjoy deep dives. i like to post them. i like to read them. i like the engagement in the comments. its crazy to me how much good stuff is out there that gets no engagement. meanwhile a good morning tweet can go wild. crazy stuff
@Tape_Vector ive held $ONDS in the past. lost money on it. i like it tho, i like the upside of the proposed increase in defense spending. I also like that it would be a diversified defense position. also owned $KEEL, made money on it. dont trust them at all. $AMD is def on my watch list!
YESSSSS! My next two entries are going to be energy and healthcare. If i were making that call today i would prob go $HIMS and $TAN but will continue to do some DD before entering. REALLY wanted to see $NOK run heading into/out of earnings and trim the position to fund those entries but we shall see
i was approaching this with the thinking that i think solar wins but i really dont know which company(s) do. I lost on a few silly plays on $TE and it sort of reminded me that I really dont think i'm built for being "early". Show me a successful business that has a floor and has a little room to run and its probably a better fit for me personally!
$rddt is such an interesting one for me. I like to invest in things that i personally like, CHECK. I like to invest in things that have multiple revenue streams CHECK. i like to invest in things where I understand how they win, how the grow market cap ext. Not quite a check for me yet....will be more intrigued if this drops into $150s....
some beverage food for thought....when i worked for coke they co developed a ready to drink frappe drink under the #dunkindonuts brand, intended to compete with #starbucks in the RTD coffee section. Coke produced it and distributed it. A lot of customers that sold hot coffee didn't want to carry it, they said it would cut into coffee sales and be margin decreative. DUNKIN carried it themselves. Why? Because beverages can service multiple different ocasions. A hot coffee may be your morning caffine on your way to work and your packaged beverage might be the afternoon pick me up. Coffee shops have consumers in there stores that generally are going to be pro consuming caffine. Get a counter top cooler, and carry $CELH !! It is WAY MORE incremental than you might think
@Investinc_Intel for sure...if they really wanted to go that route they might benefit from having a brand extension that removes artifical flavors in addition to colors. the true wellness crowd is pretty anti both of those (see spindrift as a proxy for RTD bev)
