@FoodProfessor No. Not at all. I buy some of my groceries from supermarkets and some from a local organic food delivery service run by friends. I buy eggs from both sources; there is almost no difference between them.
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy.
But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.
Dark clouds have gathered over the US but with all our love and strength the rains will renew and not devastate. But it will take all of us not giving up because giving up rewards injustice.
@bangtown_ot7 Canuck here. Hugs! Breathe! It's not quite time to panic yet. The first key state to watch is Georgia. Its urban counties -- which have hundreds of thousands of votes -- are only starting to be counted. No one has declared a winner there because it's still very much in play.
@drvolts I had wondered for a while whether focussing on what a joke and embarrassment he is would get through to his most ardent supporters. It won't, though, because no matter what, they see her and what she represents as worse.
@joelghill@Sask_NDP Rural voters care about education and health care as much as anyone else. Focusing on these issues was not inappropriate. But I agree that rural voters shouldn't be trashed.
I was the Campaign Manager for the Provincial Conservatives in BC.
This morning, I personally took part in counting some of the final ballots in Surrey-Guildford. @ElectionsBC staff were all incredibly diligent in their work and very thorough in ensuring transparency.
I feel confident in their work.
We now await a judicial recount in at least one riding. Regardless of whether we pull that off or even if David Eby wins government by one single vote—this is democracy.
