@shortl2021 2) as inflation was tamed and interest rates fell back. Remember that average/base level inflation in those days was not 2%. It took 2-3 years for yields to blow out and then retrench so it’s clearly not going to be pretty for a while
@shortl2021 Think you’re right we go lower from here, but don’t agree re the lack of rebound. If we look at how commercial property yields performed during and after the recessions of the 70s, 80s and 90s, yields all tracked interest rates higher (by c 300bps) and then fell back
Why do world leaders need to fly to Rome in private jets, then fly to Glasgow in private jets, then fly home in private jets, to make the point that the rest of us need to switch off our central heating, pay 30% more for gas & scrap our cars?
Utter hypocrites! 🛩 #COP26#g20
I put Boris in the starring role in the British sequel to Succession, because it just had to be done. @jessearmstrong1 @lucyprebblish @hbo@NicholasBritell
@GWRHelp There is no 6.19 to Port Talbot. Furthermore if you’re only offering a substandard trolley service you shouldn’t charge such extortionate prices. You’re ripping us off
@GWRHelp we pay £699 for two first tickets to Port Talbot from London. Why is there no hot breakfast and no lavatory that works? Is this the dark ages or just your version of a premium service?
@GWRHelp Was on the 0645 out of Paddington. What made it worse was that I had a business guest with me from Hong Kong who couldn’t believe the paucity of the service offering.
