@Melo3pt@RTRSPodcast@SpikeEskin@ProcessRealtor I just don’t understand why you think VJ and Maxey don’t fit. Both are dominant transition threats who can dribble, shoot, pass to some extent, and play both on and off the ball. These are just good players and we’ve only got 2 of them rn! Why are we trying to get rid of one??
@bdpollack His upside possibilities are really enticing, even if the odds that he hits them might be lower than some other prospects. Worth the swing for me at 22, he’s one of my favorites
The Sixers have the #22 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Here's the first part of @BucketSanderson's draft guide, talking about the wings they could take at that spot.

@Melo3pt@RTRSPodcast@SpikeEskin@ProcessRealtor Idk what point you’re trying to make here, Brunson & Donte were just as good of a fit as Brunson & Bridges. Sure you could maybe find a better fit down the line if they stay the exact same player, but there’s no rush to make a decision like that, they don’t hinder each other
@HaitianPride29@Melo3pt@RTRSPodcast@SpikeEskin@ProcessRealtor 3P% in college isn’t super predictive it’s true, but I wouldn’t say all shooting metrics don’t translate. Swain’s lack of volume & poor form are clear negative indicators while his FT% gives hope. But it’s risky to just say “oh they can improve it” if it’s not already a strength
@Melo3pt@RTRSPodcast@SpikeEskin@ProcessRealtor I don’t think you need to choose between Maxey and VJ at this point in their careers. They fit perfectly fine together and neither is on the decline in any way. I do think you need to choose between them and Embiid (though I don’t think that’s much of a choice at the moment).
@Rob18133Rob@RTRSPodcast@SpikeEskin@ProcessRealtor Jo’s play style could fit into modern offense if he was healthy. Modern offense is about creating advantages and Jo does that at an extremely high level. Be mad at the Sixers’ decision to extend him sure and Jo obv has his own problems (defense/rebounding), but it’s not offense.
@ClubHoagie@RTRSPodcast I talk in the article about how the McCain deal is not the end all be all in itself. It’s moreso the cumulation of these poor decisions that has been screwing us. But also let’s be real, the player we traded at the deadline is starting games in the WCF. I don’t care how he looks.
The loss of McCain is an indictment of the entire organization, at all levels (front office, coaches, ownership).
"Three different branches of the organization, all arriving at the same flawed conclusion for different reasons."

Jared McCain who the Sixers could not foresee finding minutes for just started Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals and scored 20 points in a 13 point win including a backbreaking 4th quarter three.
The Sixers’ issues run deeper than one executive firing. They stem from an organizational philosophy stuck in the past.

19 seconds on the shot clock and hadn't made a three all game before this. If he missed this, the blowback would've been astronomical for even attempting it. Just an unbelievable shot, oh my goodness.
"The pressure disappeared, the fear disappeared, and the team responded with the biggest playoff breakthrough of the era. But the second expectations returned, so did all the old habits."

"The series went so poorly that the Sixers organization went from “maybe this core deserves another shot” to firing Daryl Morey in the span of about ten days." - @BucketSanderson | @ProcessRealtor https://t.co/T6hjTcNOPX
@bdetrick 100% agree. You cannot take the risk of losing picks right now that could help provide the core around VJ and Maxey, especially with the way the lottery is being adjusted, which gives you chances to make significant jumps up the board.
Cam Carr has been one of my personal favorite prospects all year and I’ve been praying he falls to the Sixers at 22. Not gonna happen if he keeps putting together showings like this.
