Pastor Hal’s message at Grace Family Church was on the conversion of Paul in Acts Chapter 9. What stood out to me was that Paul was going to Damascus to stop the spread of the gospel and put Christians in prison. But God’s plan was for Paul to become a catalyst to spread the gospel.

Ananias never planned to speak to Paul and help him. He saw Paul as an enemy of the church. But God’s plan was for him to help Paul come to know God more fully.

And because both Paul and Ananias submitted to God’s plans and didn’t hold onto their own plans, the future of the world changed.

The message convicted me to be sure I am listening to God and not just making my on plans. I need to make sure I’m doing what God wants me to do.
