@Schrodingersba4 I've always seen it as a story of ordinary people, floundering for relevance, suddenly put into an extraordinary situation and how they both cope with the new expectations and eventually rise to the occasion.
Fantastic example of The Hero's Journey.
@Realsociedad10m Impeccable eye for quality. Texas Roadhouse is the best chain in the USA.
I would recommend if you're looking for the best fast food burger chain to seek out a Culver's, and make sure to get some custard and cheese curds while you're there.
@Brock_Hard12@Cernovich@bourscheid Seems like a bigger number than 13%.
My point is, defense is a red herring in the scope of government spending. Non-defense discretionary spending is higher than defense, and entitlements is multiples higher.
Don't be a jabroni.
You know the reason your Stanley or Hydroflask is so good at keeping your water cold is because there's a vacuum inside the walls of the thermos.
Heat can't conduct in a vaccum. And "radiated" heat is ineffective at the temperatures processors operate at.
This satellite will be like plugging in your gaming PC without a CPU cooler. It'll be dead in minutes.
Proof that Trump wastes $13MM on the reflecting pool and then doesn't even bother to turn on the NOAA Weather Control System to fix the wind so we can see the reflection.
Fucking clown show administration.
BOMBSHELL: Under cross exam, boy was asked to show how the shove happened between Austin and Karmelo. Boy and defense attorney stand up to role play the shove in front of the jury. Boy stated Karmelo is sitting on a bleacher with his hands in his backpack. Other kids are calling his bluff and saying he didn't have anything in his backpack. When Austin moves in to shove/push Karmelo, Karmelo pulls the knife from his backpack and plunges it into Austin's chest. It was all part of the same motion.
@politicalmath I always say a prayer for people like this and make sure to let them know I did so.
Not only do they need it, but it's really the only way to harm whatever demon is clearly influencing them.
@Karla1953@bonchieredstate Same. I used to really appreciate Zaid's takes; they helped me fill my blind spots. Now he's basically just lukewarm Kyle Kylinski.
An unfortunate loss.
@KathrynPaisner@politicalmath No, it's much more subtle than that. The point is to innoculate Platner from his past malfeasence by framing it as a partisan attack.
