...and so it begins, the same way it always does. The same way it went in the UK. The same way it will go in the USA unless you resist gun registration.

@PhilJM84@NotFarLeftAtAll You're right, it's weird.
My sister lives just up the road and says she sees people queuing for ages, then stand with their over-priced coffee for a selfie beside the Diddly Squat sign and then just go home!
@PellegrRaymond@MattCas04807118 It's not a simple matter, though. There are some places where even relatively rare animals can cause serious environmental damage which can destroy large numbers through starvation, as in the Tsavo national park in Kenya.
@PellegrRaymond@MattCas04807118 Not really saleable now, the market is tiny. Will be a wall-hanger.
Such huge cartridges don't really have any use except for these species and it's a sport that is dying out, probably for the best, although some places would sometimes need them for culling excess animals.

@MattCas04807118 One of the Big Five, and the most dangerous. Hippo, though not actually one of the "Five", is a close second in terms of danger to the hunter.
Although they are normally shot on reserves as a form of "canned hunting" and not part of the wild population, I feel it should cease.
@PhilJM84@NotFarLeftAtAll Yes, I was actually horrified how much was stolen from that pub. There's a chippy somewhere with cheap fresh frying oil.
Jeremy needs to put a notice up offering the glasses for sale, like Premier Inn does with their mattresses (and yes, people have half-inched those too).
@Sutton1Mr hubby said in response to the letter, but he was certainly unhappy to have to respond to the fracking company solicitors and try to negotiate a reduction in the appropriate compensation sought. That's the way to stop these champagne socialists - and dear Phoebe.
Hee, hee.

@Sutton1Mr What she didn't notice was a security manager writing down her registration mark. She got back in the Range Rover and went on her way with a smile, only to be asked by hubby why they were being sued for the whole cost of the site security. History doesn't record what

@SteveRichard642@SimonFoxWriter "...so now no cop will be safe when the time comes."
Good. I would prefer to be on my own with my neighbours, rather than have my self-defence actions scrutinized by such wicked people.
The filth are not our friends.
@atensnut Well, as none of them are actual ex-servicemen of the modern era, then none.
If you equate them with their screen persona and the training they've done for their film roles, then it's got to be Keanu; John Wick. Just don't hurt his dog.
@IanWeir94@JoshTaylorBoxer@Rightanglenews Yes, a private function may have further rules. That doesn't alter the law, but is additional.
You wouldn't wear something that would give the bride a fit of the vapours, even if she was a weak leftie child.
The manager of the venue would also be entitled to moan about it.
@IanWeir94@JoshTaylorBoxer@Rightanglenews The law (CJA s.139) was specifically written to allow the Sgian Dubh to be carried. That was literally the reason for that exemption, the Sikh thing was tagged on in the same way. Both were specifically exempted from the law by sub-section 5.
Even if the filth don't like it.
@FedorableL@BasilTheGreat Yes. This is the way.
There's a specific make (which I won't name) which is normal plastic, not a tactical pen, but which is almost unbreakable. I gave one to a female colleague who kept deliberately breaking pens and she couldn't manage it.
Just try a few.
