@realChipEvans@EdKrassen Which is why we’ve beaten you in any war we’ve ever fought. Why your military comes to Canada to train. Why we’re always cleaning up your messes as UN Peacekeepers. Body guard, ha!
@rdohnethook @Mikeggibbs Your country very much cares what a spoiled, rich cunt thinks. At least two I can think of off the top of my head. One’s orange and one’s a Nazi.
I am livid! Please share this widely!
Last week, @SylviaJonesMPP, the Ontario Health Minister, stated publicly in a press conference that she "has committed" to meet with my daughter about her 19-hour wait for an appendectomy at @StMarysGenHosp. That video can be found on @CTVNews@CTVKitchener
I have followed up with the minister and her team twice in seven days on this 'commitment', and to date, received radio silence. Not even an acknowledgement from her Chief of Staff that our messages have been received.
This afternoon I was excited to see Sylvia's name appear in my inbox. I opened it expectantly...
... to find this marketing email, rallying up the base and blaming our healthcare failures on previous administrations.
Sylvia—It's true that previous governments, both Liberal and Conservative—have contributed to the sorry state of Ontario heathcare. Indeed, the state of affairs isn't your direct fault and you've barely been minister long enough to make an impactful difference.
But you could keep your word.
Why would I believe your plan announced last week to connect 300 thousand more people to care, when you can't even keep a trivial commitment to respond to my daughter and have a conversation? Giving 300 thousand more people healthcare is hard... responding to an email is easy.
Did you feel that suggesting to the reporters in the press conference was the best way to get out of an awkward moment? To make this go away?
I hope you understand what we are asking for... just a conversation. That's it. An opportunity for you to hear a personal story of the systematic failure that's not your fault but is now your responsibility to fix. An opportunity to encourage a prospective nurse—one who might very well fill a vacancy in one of those "78 new and expanded primary care teams" you plan to create. But this will only happen if you can convince her—and thousands of other Ontarians—that the government will indeed keep their word and fix the sorry state of our healthcare system.
... Why would she ever believe that message if you won't even keep your word and respond to an email?
You could have spun this situation positively—you still can. My daughter isn't partisan to a particular party—she's tied only to a desire to see better healthcare outcomes for @OntarioHealthOH. Let's make this a positive opportunity for learning and encouragement for everyone involved.
You gained goodwill when you publicly stated you were going to meet with my daughter, and all we ask is for you to keep that very personal commitment you made to our family. Instead, what we've received is an email asking for a party donation.

@hiItsAlyyy Yup. I did the CRP and I paid $232 per week to have my own bedroom and bathroom. Sadly, as internationals, we aren’t given an option to not be in Disney housing.
@jakeowen I feel your pain. I’m in Disneyland today. Flew in Tuesday. Had an aisle seat. Just as I drifted off to sleep, my seat mates woke me up to go pee.
