Putting the King Saha and Hon Kasolo saga aside, people are now openly telling Kasolo to let the people of Kalangala choose the leader they actually want.

Rights are not negotiable. Justice cannot be treated as a bargaining chip. We deserve better than having to plead with our own government for the fundamental freedoms enshrined in our constitution.
@HEBobiwine should be allowed to return home without any set conditions, @NUP_Ug should operate without restriction, and all political prisoners must be released.

Music Freedom Day reminds us that songs have always carried truth in times when truth was costly. In #Uganda, one of the most striking examples is the long stretch since 2018 when Bobi Wineโs live performances were repeatedly blocked; a reminder of how powerful music can be when it speaks to the heart of a nation. His journey from the ghetto to a voice that resonated across the country began with music, and even when the stages were closed, the message in the music could not be silenced.
Scripture tells of Paul and Silas singing in the darkness, of God surrounding His people with
"songs of deliverance" (Psalm 32:7), and of new songs that stir hope (Psalm 40:3). Music becomes a refuge, a witness, and sometimes a quiet act of resistance.
Today we honour every artist whose voice has been restricted, and every song that continues to rise despite the barriers. Music remains one of the purest forms of freedom; and freedom always finds a way to sing.
