@AlexFinn I was nervous to start doing this too but it was a complete game changer for me.
Three terminals, plus one on my phone for when I gotta walk away from the computer. Claude is unreal
Shale wasn’t unlocked by geology. It was unlocked by the U.S. allowing hydraulic fracturing to be stress-tested across hundreds of thousands of wells, with permissive regulation, private mineral rights, and capital that tolerated failure long enough for the tech to work.
That’s why looking for the “next shale” misses the point… The real question is what next technology gets that same chance to run the learning curve that the shale revolution did?
Holiday break well spent:

Anyone else stress-testing AI on household appliances?
That time of year when 🇨🇦 vs 🇺🇸 turns otherwise normal adults into part-time hockey analysts yelling at teenagers on TV.
World Juniors season. Gotta love it!🏒
The 3% isn’t because energy collapsed, it’s because it never saw multiple expansion.
Cash flows surged, balance sheets healed, capital was returned… but P/Es stayed anchored while other sectors levitated.
You really think that 40-50x multiples are coming for Energy companies upon a supply constraint? I doubt it.
Bought 3 pallets of Christmas trees + décor on Thanksgiving.
Sold the last piece today.
Definitely cut it close, but cleared everything at a profit.
Thanks @bstocksol
