Last Friday, USC announced plans to build the first standalone neurological hospital in the Southeast right here in Columbia. This cutting-edge facility will focus solely on brain and nervous system care, addressing a critical health gap for South Carolinians.

The hospital is planned next to the university’s soon-to-be-constructed School of Medicine building on USC’s Health Sciences Campus inside the BullStreet District of Columbia. It would be an extension of the university’s network of cutting-edge brain health care and research.
