Bulls miss out: Sean Sweeney will be the next head coach of the Orlando Magic
Who should the Bulls prioritize to be their next HC now that Sweeney is no longer available?
The Chicago Bulls being bad all season long and then winning a bunch of games in March FINALLY means something….
Pro tank and anti tank Bulls fans are finally in this together:
Mervis is deeply connected around the league, and should be able to help with other hires. I've also heard he's fantastic with cap management and negotiation. Great addition to the Bulls front office by Bryson Graham.
Asked around about Mervis and here's what I heard.
-Extremely smart executive
-Strong in trade negotiations and general strategy
-Well-connected with other execs throughout the league
Seems like a great hire for the Bulls.
For the first time in a while, the Bulls’ moves feel connected to a larger idea.
Bryson Graham talked about infrastructure, scouting, and alignment.
Now the front office is being reshaped with people around the league viewed as strong evaluators and process-driven thinkers.
.@CodyWesterlund says Cam Boozer could be “the linchpin of an offense in a way that someone like Caleb Wilson isn’t going to be early in his career.”
“His passing touch is really, really good for a big man… you’re looking at a guy that would be an immediate impact player.”
.@CodyWesterlund reports that, while unlikely, Darryn Peterson has a higher chance to drop in the draft than AJ Dybantsa does.
“If you’re power ranking who’s going to go to the Bulls right now, I’d say Caleb Wilson 1, Cam Boozer 2, Darryn Peterson 3, AJ Dybantsa 4.
Chatter at draft combine yesterday was this hire was close, as are others. Law played with Bryson Graham at Texas A&M and briefly played for Bulls in 2010, coming from Charlotte in Tyrus Thomas trade. Team hasn’t confirmed hire yet.
