> Anime is getting too expensive to make
> Relies on Isekai to pander to the western audience
> Isekai doesn’t require Japanese culture
If Japan tries to appeal to the western audience, over time it could result in the end of Otaku culture as we know it
So it turns out China was building a hydro electric facility by a glacier and all the construction caused a portion of the glacier to collapse, tumble down, and turn into a mudslide that killed like 2,500 Nepalese people.
But all you will hear about in the news is leftists claiming this was because of climate change

ABSOLUTA VERGÜENZA
50 Cent Blood on The Sand NEEDS to be supported. I know that sounds fucking insane but that game has literally never been offered digitally. It’s not on PC and it’s not on PS4/5. It’s literally only playable on modern consoles with a disk on an Xbox One/Series. I need it

Reminder that Mario Kart World wasn't nominated for Soundtrack of the Year at the Game Awards because that category was sponsored by Spotify, and MKW's OST isn't on Spotify.
Most bullshit awards show of all time
I think a good litmus test for how horrible the current state of the AAA gaming industry is that announcing your game will have a physical release is now a PR win
Dawg the next 10 years are looking fucking scary the bar is dropping rapidly
I just find it pathetic how we've had full on proof of Celebs in Hollywood who were on that island and harmed children and nothing happens.
But leaking a stupid overrated video game is more of an offense.

"This Is Real Culture and It Is Being Deleted," says @MariaOhisalo
With the Game Industry now much larger than Movies, we cannot allow corporations to arbitrarily destroy what we have paid for. Lawmakers must step up to ensure preservation.

Asmongold calls out Hasan for his "We Are Charlie Kirk" karaoke and his podcast cohosts for clapping along
"What I find to be kind of weird..Will, QT, and Austin are sitting up there clapping along..it's pretty obvious Hasan supports political violence and whenever he's singing songs and dancing around about Charlie Kirk being K-d, it's kind of weird to see them up there, just like going along with it..unless they agree w it too..that's the only thing that I could assume is that they're the ones agreeing w this"
"Ya I kind of am (doing a cancel culture)..I think this stuff is disgusting..the ppl that are enabling it and the fact that he has ppl on his podcast that are doing this..singing along to somebody who is promoting terr*rism and everything else"
"The reason why they're doing this..they support K-ing Charlie Kirk..not doing it bc they think it's funny..not doing it bc they want to make it a meme..they're doing it bc they want to turn K-ing Charlie Kirk into a funny thing that isn't weaponized against them"
"I agree, the song is just a meme but can u understand the difference between Hasan going and doing this vs somebody else? He's doing it bc he agrees with it..that's why u have 20 min clips of him going through and talking about political violence"
Some people want you to think this is a morally complex situation.
I firmly disagree. It's actually very simple.
To offer some legitimate criticism. It is entirely reasonable to question how Cyberleek actions are presented as a protest against the destruction of physical media.
For the unaware. Cyberleek as asked financial compensation to share the leaks via crypto payement.
However just like anything in our capitalist society. Time is money. So asking for compensation for all the time, effort and skills for his actions could be presented as reasonable to an extent.

What is unquestionable is that : Rockstar deserve this.
Just 2 days ago, Rockstar pressured discord into giving them an entire city worth of personal and private data.
People who have nothing to do with any of this.
The company who's biggest financial project is leaking is currently in the possession of this data.
Not only is this an egregious overreach and abuse of power, the idea that this information is safe with them is preposterous.
Since when do companies have the right to wield power equal to the police, a judge, the state for the sake of a "private investigation".
I fear we are walking toward a dystopian cyberpunk like future. We are only a couple step away from corporate assassination, if this is not considered unacceptable behavior and condemned by everyone.

On a more "meta" aspect.
Rockstar is the tip of the spear for a new wave of anti-consumer and anti-employee practices in Gaming.
>Basic feature locked behind preorder.
>Destruction of physical media
>Increased pricing
>Outsourcing coding to cheaper less qualified third world country workforces
>Various abusive termination and anti syndicate activity
I could keep the list going for a while.

From what I've seen. Depsite 11 years of dev time. GTA VI isn't that different from the previous entry and doesn't offer much novelty.
Which does raise question about what where they doing for 11 years ?
Where did all the money the game costed really went to ?
Why outsource to cheaper workforce with all that time and money ?
Why is this entry so much more expensive than the last one if nothing of substance changed ?
Etc...
[...]
I want Cyberleek to win.
Not because I really care wether or not GTA VI is good or bad. I'm not the target audience.
I want him to win. Because I want Rockstar and the video game industry to lose.
Since the end of the lockdown. All of the best video games have been from indie studios or asian studios. Outsiders of the AAA western environment.
Offering richer, better, fair priced games.
And the response of these big studio is to milk the players more. Treat the customers worse. Treat their employee as expendable and replaceable.
I want the current video game industry to die.
