The @federalreserve must be transparent about the "pain" that Chair Powell intends to impose on families with extreme interest rate hikes. Throwing millions out of work without addressing key drivers of higher prices isn't the solution to fight inflation. https://t.co/9aDP73xnj6
All of us who reject political violence—and I believe that is the overwhelming majority of Americans—all of us must unite to make it absolutely clear violence and intimidation have no place in America.
Today we are announcing our intention to remove Iran from the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Given Iran’s brutal crackdown on women and girls protesting peacefully for their rights, Iran is unfit to serve on this Commission.
To the protestors: we see you and we hear you.
Starting in January, we’re capping the cost of insulin for seniors on Medicare at $35 a month.
That’s more money at the end of the month to pay for groceries, to get your car repaired, to put toward holiday shopping for your grandkids.
@RepJamesComer@GOPoversight@FoxNews@RepJamesComer Such a tiresome culture war topic. You rant about this at least once a week. How about helping the people of Kentucky, so they can afford to send their children to college if they want to go? Or help families afford childcare?
@RepJamesComer@GOPoversight @MorningsMaria @RepJamesComer Why not help the children of Kentucky? I know a social worker who owes a hundred thousand in student loans. Do you know how little social workers earn in Kentucky?
@RepJamesComer@JennPellegrino@newsmax@RepJamesComer No political party is totally free of wrong doing, including Republicans. How about trying to make life better for the majority of Kentuckians who are lower and middle class?
KY already did this a few years ago. Nothing could be more important than a kid coming out of school being able to manage their money instead of their money and credit debt managing them.
Plus it’s good for the economy for people to manage their money and not go into bankruptcy.
@RepThomasMassie@RepThomasMassie We bailed out banks. We give the rich tax loopholes. We need to help Kentuckians who gained a higher education to help Kentuckians like nurses and social workers. Thank you Biden.
Veterans, please visit https://t.co/86IOUpXbit to see how this law impacts benefits, and please reach out to my office if we can be of assistance in navigating issues with the VA on your behalf.
@kelly_laco@RepJamesComer@HouseGOP@RepJamesComer Thank you Biden for helping Kentuckians who went to college to be nurses and social workers and more. We bail out banks, why not real Kentuckians?
@McConnellPress@LeaderMcConnell@McConnellPress You know rich people don’t take out loans. It’s Kentuckians who long for a job that requires higher education. We desperately need these people, nurses and social workers, for example. Thank you Biden.
@LeaderMcConnell@McConnellPress@LeaderMcConnell I think helping regular Kentuckians is a great thing. Rich people and businesses get tax breaks and assistance and bailouts. I do think we need to make higher education more affordable.
Eastern Kentucky was devastated by the historic flooding that took the lives of 39 Kentuckians and caused thousands of our families to lose everything. Since the storm hit, I’ve been speaking with legislative leaders about the need for a special session. 1/2
In keeping with my campaign promise, my Administration is announcing a plan to give working and middle class families breathing room as they prepare to resume federal student loan payments in January 2023.
I'll have more details this afternoon.
