Criminal that the #Oilers let Holloway and Broberg walk. Matching Holloway was the easiest thing to do at the time. Total mismanagement of assets.
At the time, I said match both, & move out a contract or two if you have too.
When Karlsson won his Norris trophies he had 101 points and was -26 in 2022-23, and had 82 points and was a -2 in 2015-16
Bouchard has 95 points and is +25
If the NHL writers don’t give Bouchard the Norris because of his defensive game then they are massive hypocrites.
Connor McDavid: just the 2nd player in the last 100 seasons to score a point in every team win (41) for a playoff team. Wayne was the other in 80-81. The 14 games he didn't score a point, the Oilers went 0-12-2. MVP.
Evan Bouchard:
Only the 8th defenceman in NHL HISTORY to score 95 points (leads all D by 14 points)
Played every single game this season (Ironman) and was +25
Plays all situation vs opponents top competition and even Kills Penalties: 144:30 (Leads EDM)
Game breaker for big moments with
5 Game Winning Goals (1st in OT Goals)
Elevated his game when Draisaitl and Hyman got injured to secure a playoff spot.
The best Defenceman in the NHL this year - and it’s not even close.
👏👏👏
🚨🇨🇦 The Liberal narrative just collapsed…
Fraser Institute President Niels Veldhuis is setting the record straight:
🇨🇦 Canada’s economic decline isn’t a 🇺🇸 "Trump Tariff" problem….it’s a made-in-Canada crisis.
Stop blaming the neighbors 🇺🇸 for the mess we created at home. 🇨🇦

Zach Werenski tonight in a must win game to make playoffs:
- 0 goals
- 0 assists
- 49.0 xGF%
- Minus 3
- 4 giveaways
No Norris winner has ever missed the playoffs in NHL history without leading in points. If you still have him over Bouchard you should have your brain checked
McDavid won't win the Hart because "well you can't always give it to him"
Makar will win the Norris because "well you always have to give it to him"
Explain to me this logic.
One of the best visuals of the US vs Canada's military strength.
I had no idea just how ill-equipped we really were. We should be incredibly thankful that they are our neighbors.
Here’s a summary of the Carney government’s utterly incoherent position on Iran over the past few days:
We support the U.S. acting with airstrikes. But we also regret having to support the U.S. acting with airstrikes. And we also call for a ceasefire of the airstrikes.
We call on all parties, including the U.S., to uphold international law. We believe the airstrikes are inconsistent with international law, but we support the U.S. acting with airstrikes.
Also, we are not ruling out military participation with the U.S.

Rest assured that no matter what colour medal Brady Tkachuk earns today, he'll spend the first 30 minutes after he receives it trying to unwrap the chocolate inside
I am an Alabama resident.
The state of Alabama has a higher GDP per capita than Canada; $66,300 vs. $58,000.
We also have lower taxes. As such, Alabamians have more disposable income than Canadians. We can afford nice houses for a fraction of the cost that they would cost in Canada. The median home price in Alabama is around $220,000. In Canada, the median is about $650,000. In Alabama, that could get you a very nice 4,000 square-foot house.
A lot of successful people live here.
Huntsville, for instance, is home to NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and a university. They have among the highest number of Ph.D.'s per capita as a result of that. Has Canada sent man to the moon? I'm asking for a friend. There's also Auburn University and the University of Alabama down in Tuscaloosa. They are both very good schools for a college education.
Alabama has more daylight hours and better weather, on average. We get more Vitamin D because we can spend more time outdoors.
Alabama also doesn't have a carbon tax because our governor doesn't believe in the fairytale that trace carbon dioxide (CO₂) controls the weather.
Where Canada arguably has an advantage is in social safety (e.g., violent crime rates) and health (e.g. life expectancy), but it comes at the expense of taxpayers, which reduces individual freedom. Here in the states, you need to work to bring yourself up, and if you do that and put the work in, you have better material living.
Have they tried unplugging Parayko and plugging him back in? Rough start for 55........
(Hope this doesn't upset 2 Mutts; I see the whiney victim posts are back again).
