"What traits do you see in the most successful devs?"
It's June 2019. On the day of my graduation, nervously contemplating life beyond, I asked this question to my bootcamp operations manager.
He'd seen hundreds of devs go through the program.
I never forgot what he said:
Announcement: After 3 years of development – and months of beta testing – freeCodeCamp's new Responsive Web Design certification is now live. 🎉
I strongly recommend doing this new cert – even if you've already finished the old one.
[FAQ thread 🧵]
Since I’ve been asked a lot:
Buy stock in several companies that make products & services that *you* believe in.
Only sell if you think their products & services are trending worse. Don’t panic when the market does.
This will serve you well in the long-term.
@thecaitcode I have accounts with Vanguard, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, and M1 Finance. My favorite is Fidelity. They have a robust set of tools if you choose to use their Active Trader Pro. TD Ameritrade has "ThinkorSwim" which is cool for charts & paper trading. But, I like Fidelity best.
I don’t care what technology skills you have.
Web3, Python, JavaScript, front-end, backend, cyber, ... you name it.
YOU are your most marketable asset.
That is why it is so important to work on yourself more than your tech skills.
That is why soft skills are so important.
