@is_glasgow Was just thinking what a prefect golden hour we were having earlier. Something about this time of year, I was looking at some photos of when I worked at Transmit a few years ago, lovely golden sunset that day as well.
@MurphyNiallGLA Spoke to a friend today who confirmed this, he's pretty knowledgeable about these things as well. Says he last walked thru it in the 80s and the door to it was only blocked off a couple of years ago.
@MurphyNiallGLA I've heard there used to be a tunnel under the George V bridge, there used to be a door on the side of the bridge at the top of Commerce Street that apparently gave access to it but is now blocked off.
Or I could be completely wrong.
@melissapudding@is_glasgow To be fair there has been some amount of businesses in that building over the years, it may have had the shit kicked out of it but it has been well used for all that.
@m_jivetoaster@ScotRoadArchive Nice photos. I used to take the dog for a walk up there at night after they closed the roads and watch the decks being pulled along by the strand (?) jacks. Very nice to see such massive engineering up close.
Great big mobile crane there came from Belgium iirc.
@joshwhiton@krecicki I thought removing the headphone jack was to do with a water resistant standard, or did apple do it before you'd standard came into play?
@RebeccaCNReid When I got the sleeper I used to pay for a seat then find the carriage with bundles of newspapers and make myself a bed there. I wonder if Rishi is aware of this money saving hack?
