📌 The African Youth Charter @ 20 Appraisal is fast becoming a continental movement, reaching African capitals, cities, towns and villages! 🌍
20 years after the adoption of the African Youth Charter on 2 July 2006 in Banjul, The Gambia 🇬🇲, young Africans are asking fundamental questions:
What has changed for millions of African youth? What is working? Where are the gaps? And more importantly, what should youth development look like over the next few decades?
These are questions that must be answered at continental, regional, national and local levels.
Our remarkable team of youth experts supported by @APRMorg@APRM_MarieRose , @OneYoungAfrica@AmanyaStuartJr & Restless Development
are doing an incredible job taking these conversations to young people, including those whose voices are too often missing from policy discussions.
The next 20 years of youth development in Africa must be informed by the voices, experiences and aspirations of young Africans themselves.
We look forward to unveiling the outcomes of this historic appraisal in November ( Africa Youth Month) 2026! 📌
