@yadchaaap These issues are known but this report just puts numbers and evidence to back up our demands. Evidence based advocacy is important! It is the first needs-survey in Pune for public transport.
We at Busकरा are conducting a survey to understand private vehicle usage patterns. If you live in Pune, please fill this form. It won't take more than 5 minutes and would greatly help our research. Please share this within your circles in Pune. Thank you.

The demands of 1319 bus pravasis for a #bus app has been submitted to Nitin Narvekar, Joint MD, @PMPMLPune
As part of the #AppKaraBusKara campaign, team Parisar, on behalf of the #LowCarbonMobility network in #Pune met with the Joint MD of PMPML and submitted a demand letter.
Had a great time exploring transit data in Pune and brainstorming to make it efficient. Along with learning so much, this has made more interested in spatial data. Many thanks to @GeoPune@parisarpune@Bus_Kara_@opencity_in@chinmaymaps and others for organising this
@DeoSahil
Team ‘Paul’ Vat/ footpath talks about inaccessibility to #walk or #cycle in Pune in 7 wards but show a lot of demand by extracting data from @Strava & surveys by @CyclePlanPune
But they also point out at inconsistency and reliability of #data! Need more accuracy and updation.
‘Transport Warriors’ presenting their assessment of the route from MaNaPa to Hinjewadi Phase 3 and results raise discussions around the missing data on number of #bus commuters, points out to advantages of #BRTS & also the significance of last mile connectivity & shared #mobility
People have organised themselves into 3 groups, going through the collated #civic datasets and onto finalising their problem statements!
Follow closely for more updates from the #PuneDataJam#Pune#TransitInPune
And we’re off! The DataJam has officially begun, with a pretty great turnout of folks interested in Public Transport! @parisarpune@Bus_Kara_@opencity_in
