Kenyans shouldn't begrudge Sen Sifuna for his meteoric political rise. We should instead celebrate it. It's always a good thing when a young man gets a break in politics or any career for that matter and thrust himself into the national limelight. Remember, Sifuna hasn't elbowed anyone. He simply claimed a space that was empty since Hon. Kijana Wamalwa died two decades ago. For too long, Western was bereft of a political heavyweight that sat at the national table as of right. Sifuna seems to be the new kid on the block. And to be fair to the young man, his appeal goes beyond Luhya land.

This is a simple test that you should carry out as a boyfriend.

Whenever your girlfriend is visiting, deliberately keep money somewhere that will be visible to her.

Make sure you count the money, and it should not all be the same denomination. Do not touch the money, and do not ask her to touch it either.

When she leaves, go and count the money.

If it's short, wait to see if she would tell you that she took some money from it and explain what she used it for.

Once, Haiti had the highest per capita in the world & even financed France! Now Haiti is forever gone as a viable State. Libya, both Sudans & Somalia may never recover.

Using goons may give short term political excitement but in the medium term, it erodes the national fabric & in the long term, destroys the country. If we are a serious country, we must bring to account every politician who has used goons. And also arrest the goons whether they are policemen hiding in civilian clothes or jobless youth hired.

If you're married to a first daughter child from a struggling family, & you're also from a shrugging family.

Please take care of your immediate family first.

But when you want to extend kindness to your extended family, please do it to your own siblings first.

Please uplift your own family out of poverty first, before thinking of your wife's.

There is a reason why farming is under attack , there is nobody that is more free than a farmer . Anybody that can go behind his house and come back with an entire meal everyday for a month without buying anything . Anybody that can survive outside the banking system, anybody that can liquidate his investment at a moments notice without signing all those source of funds things . Anybody that can drink herbs instead of buying pharmacy medicine. This is someone the gorvement cannot control.
Think back afew years when corona came , whose quality of life wasn't affected as much. If you want to know true freedom ,plant your own food and medicine , nothing will scare you . They can t even turn off your water unless they bribe the sky .
The IMF is fully aware of this and keeps pushing the gorvement to cripple the agricultural industry by having people concentrate on the economic aspect planting and raising animals that you can only sell then buying things you can produce . Why would you plant coffee ,sell the coffee and buy food 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣?.
Why not plant food sell what you dnt need for money you can use for other things.
To hoodwink you into thinking everything is still ok , politicians will farm as a hobby ,think about it who is the biggest "farmer" you know ? Probably your local politician ,putting tiles and sleeping mattresses for his girirando cows.
When you decide to farm ,plant things you eat , my wise Kikuyu elders say . Wealth is what remains after your stomach is full.

If you are planning to build a house in your rural village,

Do the following:

• Open a bank account. Call it "Project Development Account 2026."

• Write a plan. Use the Triple Constraint Theory in Project Management: BUDGET, TIME and SCOPE.

• Save 50% equivalent of your rent in the account, monthly for 15 months, eg, if your rent is 10,000, then, save 5,000 in that account every month.

• If you can't raise 50% equivalent of your rent to save, then you are living beyond your means. Look for a cheaper house.

• Get an architect and a draughtsman to design a house.

• Do research, consult, read about building and construction online. Travel beyond your comfort.

• Get a Quantity Surveyor to do feasibility and the cost of the project.

• At month 15, draw a budget and begin buying material for construction, eg Sand, Ballast, Stones and timber. Stick to the budget.

• At month 18, start building.

• Get a professional mason licensed by the National Construction Authority. Be present. Supervision by phone calls is disastrous.

• Be hands-on. Learn to do the masonry work alongside the mason. Mix the ballast. Lay the bricks. Be part of the team.

• Create a rapport and good relationship with a hardware. Let this hardware be the only place you will buy construction material.

• Don't live in government houses. Don't buy the so called "affordable houses."

Build your house, to your preference and taste.

Therefore, if you are intending to build, and you start planning today, then you should be building your house in 2026 March.

It is not far.

Start today.

Be patient.

Let me advise those of you young people in the corporate world.

If you have a colleague that both of you were mates in rank or position, and you were very close, and that colleague of yours later becomes your boss.

Do not say because you were once mates in position, then you think you can interact with him or her the same way.

Respect the authority that he or she is presently occupying and keep your distance.

Wait to see if he or she would still want you to be closer, before you know how to interact with them officially.

Your bosses take key decisions for the firm, even if that decision may affect you.

They have meetings that you're not privileged or qualified to attend.

If you keep trying to interact with that colleague simply because you were once close, you'll be shocked.

Where they're making decisions that may affect you, your once close colleague may throw you under the bus.

Especially if you work in a structured environment, where meritocracy is recognized over familiarity.

Your colleagues are mostly not your friends.

All of you are earning salaries just to get by.

Do your job diligently, so that your once close colleague that was at your level, will not be seen as trying to use his or her position to favour you unduly.

When Mumias Sugar collapsed, the towns around it (Shibale, Mayoni, Mumias) all collapsed.

People lost direct and indirect jobs that stemmed from the factory.

You should see the hopelessness and abject poverty that have engulfed the people who depended on the factory.

It is a sorry state around there.

They now roast maize, smuggle molasses, and sell river sand to keep their dreams alive.

Schools around there, which were the leading schools in Kenya (Booker, Complex and Central), are now struggling to keep up.

Business premises in those towns have been deserted and are rotting away. If you have travelled along Mumias - Bungoma road, you have seen the decay in those towns.

He who opposes the establishment of an industrial complex under the pretext of climate is an enemy and should be condemned.

2. You don't have basic health insurance packages.

3. Your salary doesn't come when due.

5. Your firm doesn't organize trainings, seminars, or webinars that can help you grow in your career, and improve your skills.

6. You don't get any bonuses or proper, structured leave days.

7. You don't get a salary raise each year.

Please start looking for another job.

If you stay in that job for too long, you may become redundant and demotivated.

Go work where you will be appreciated, not where you will be tolerated.

Your employer is not helping your life or career.
