Away from clients’ work, I’m exploring the notion of #happiness as a human #experience and how to address designing both sides of the coin, #pleasure and #virtue. It was a nice surprise to be reminded of #Aristotle’s perspective in my latest issue of NewPhilosopher @TheNewPhil.
@ElliceParkinson@phdhardtalk@PhDVoice From the submission date count the days to today. Drop 25% for days off, emergencies & interruptions. Take 10% for editing & fine tuning. The rest is actual days you have to finish. Do 3x50-min sessions with 10-min walks in between. Increase sessions as needed. All the best.
Self-checkout machines at supermarkets don’t tell me:
“Have a great evening”,
“Nice shirt!” or
“Is it still bucketing?…Stay safe”
And even if the machines were programmed to do so, it’s not authentic. Human interactions are priceless.

Addressing design complications without understanding the underlying complexity leads to more complications.
Eliminating complexity may lead to oversimplification, which could increase complications.

Problem finding is far more critical than problem solving. Why? Because if your team is not good at identifying the right problems they will most likely be solving the wrong ones.
