@ProfFerguson And to think, I was only worried about veracity and accuracy of police reports based on whether they’re written in first or third person…
@Chicago_Police Miguel was an incredible help to me, our officers and supervisors, and community members in both the 14th and 25th Districts. A recognition well deserved!
Civilian members of police agencies facilitate the “boots on the ground” efforts of sworn officers every day.
As a life long @Cubs fan & former Cmdr for the district that includes Wrigley Field, I’m thrilled to be throwing out the first pitch at the First Responders game on May 16. Join me and my colleagues as the Cubs post a W!

@Dan_S_Lawrence Dan, thank you for your contributions to the research and practice of policing. And, yeah, that Rosenbaum guy for recognizing what you could do. 😉
Keep up the good work!
Terrific thread. And this is why I’ve been saying that the “traditional” description of the criminal justice / legal system - police->prosecution->judiciary->corrections - needs to be changed to include 911 systems on the front end (& re-entry on the back end).
Thank you @ACJS_National for this great honor, the 2024 “Leadership and Innovation Award”, for my work at @Chicago_Police and my “Collaborative Police Legitimacy” model developed while teaching at @UICCLJ. So fortunate to work with great colleagues in both places!
