Another person today who's rocking a modern build (30 series and AM4) using an HDD for games (SSD boot drive) to 'save some money on the build'.
Got 64GB of RAM though, because of course. Could cut that to 32GB and get another SSD and be FINE, but for some reason they NEED 64GB.
It will never cease to amaze me how you could be involved with something for nearly 30 years and yet you get people going 'well I know better because I watched this vid' or 'I had a bad experience with brand X 10 years ago, so I'd rather keep getting ripped off'.
Had a conversation today where someone thought a game being installed on an HDD instead of an SSD would cause a FULL SYSTEM REBOOT in the middle of the game and wouldn't hear any different until the person said 'it was a crash to desktop and was on my SSD'
Seen a couple of posts about this in recent days - training a player in new position or improve weaker foot does NOT cause attributes to drop. Don't like to lift too much on 'under the hood' stuff, but that's not a thing #FM24
So yeah, when people say 'no such thing as a stupid question' my mind goes back to this story - because there is ALWAYS a stupid question, and it usually comes from people who think they're smarter than they actually are - so do NOT be that person!
I love the phrase 'there's no such thing as a stupid question' because it's as stupid and false as the phrase 'the customer is always right'.
I was at a staff Q&A session once with the CEO of our company, which was a mutual (i.e. no shares/stockholders)
Most of the rest of us are trying not to crack up as the CEO, his PA and our center manager all look confused - they've just spent 30 mins talking about how great it is to be a mutual and not have shareholders to answer to.
Really hope they sort the movement out in #Civ7 cause the number of times I'm sat looking at a unit that can't move anywhere, but the game insists you have to skip the remaining move is SO frustrating as a user. If I can't move the unit, just END THE MOVE.
