我也见过这样的九十多岁的人和他的家人。我当时还写了报道拍了照片，被中、美几国的华文报纸采用。那是位老基督徒，从小是孤儿，先后被英、美两国传教士在中国收养，在教会长大，初中毕业后勤工俭学，当小学老师读完的高中。1920年十九岁结婚时是我老家第一对“文明婚礼”结婚的新人。采访时那老人97岁，看着根本就没到八十呢，看书、做针线不需要戴老花镜。还在那年百年未遇的高温天气乘公交车看望中暑的其他教友。她在退休后七十岁开始还又做居委会主任，一直干到95岁才真正“退休”。她在七十岁时，把一个五十多岁妇女从文盲教到能看繁体《圣经》。接受采访时，那位妇女也七十多岁了，她说我当时前学后忘，不是她有我从未见过的耐心，我真学不下来。96岁时，独居的她自己用移动梯子上阁楼取东西，结果梯子倒了，把床架子的一边都压断了，老人竟然没有任何骨折等损伤。聊着聊着，说到老人家人，就说一起见见吧，结果先是女婿骑着自行车来了，看着60出头的样子，一问85岁了，一会儿大女儿也骑车来了，我的天哪，那么美丽的人，大多数人一生见不到几个，看着50出头，一问76岁了。摄影记者的照片洗出来，领导看了开玩笑说：“快叫***（某位国家领导人）把***(他老婆）休了，看看人家76岁长啥样子！”老人家99周岁时，我在路上遇见她儿子时，说妈妈已过百岁生日，因在美国当教授的大儿子、孙子好几年没空回国看她，她要独自乘飞机来看儿子一家。我只能说：“妈妈，过了一百岁的人乘飞机，要布什总统批准。”，小儿子也是一个高大俊朗的先生，也很看年轻。基因的力量真是强大👍
