Le 26 février marque l’anniversaire du #génocide de #Khojaly. Dans la nuit du 25 au 26 février 1992, durant la Première guerre du Haut-Karabakh, des centaines de civils azerbaïdjanais ont été tués alors qu’ils tentaient de fuir la ville de Khojaly.

613 civils dont des femmes et des enfants ont perdu la vie.

Se souvenir de Khojaly, c’est reconnaître le coût humain des conflits armés et réaffirmer la protection des civils en vertu du #DroitInternationalHumanitaire

#BlackJanuary remembers the lives lost in January 1990 while standing for freedom and independence. It is a day of mourning and unity. Florists and flower growers gave their flowers freely as a symbol of solidarity, proving that even in tragedy, compassion endures.

One year has passed since the tragic crash of an #Embraer 190 passenger aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (#AZAL) on the Baku–Grozny route near the city of Aktau.

As a result of the crash, 38 people lost their lives.

May they rest in peace!
