@pntrack It’s not uncommon for talented small school athletes to qualify 4 events at state. Heck, you will see a lot of small school state athletes run the 8, 16, 32, and either a 4x4 or 4x8 at state!
@pntrack Coming from a small school background, I see everything you are talking about mainly in middle school programs. One thing I will disagree with is it’s not necessarily bad coaching to put these kids in four events. If they are talented enough, they may make it to state in 4.
Congratulations to Cam Davidson for crushing the junior high school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.22 on the first meet of the season! His time beats one of the longest standing records in Butler of 15.90 set by Pat Ray all the way back in 1977!

Wow, what a night! The Butler Bears post FIVE new school records in a single meet last night at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar! A new meet record was also set! Results below!
Congratulations Brandon Hammett for setting his third school record in five days by breaking the 800m run record with a time of 2:00.49! The record was previously held by Bob Fisher and set all the way back in 1982!
This is the sixth school record set by the Bears this year!
What a night last night at Holden! 6 gold medals won, 14 personal records set, 2 new school records set by Brandon Hammett, and 4 other school records nearly broken, all in the same night!

Congratulations to Brandon Hammett for setting TWO school records tonight at Holden! He improved his 1600m record to 4:32.62 and his 3200m record to 9:51.95! He also just missed out on the 800m school record by 0.45 seconds!
