Trump — on his last conversation with Putin:

"I was very dissatisfied with my conversation with President Putin. And it seems to me that he wants to go all the way and just keep killing people. Not good. It’s not good. I was unhappy with it."

Very interesting — normally, saying things like that publicly is considered bad form in real politics.

For example, when Biden called Putin a killer back in 2021, everyone gasped and clutched their pearls.

That’s because leaders of all states are killers (since the state is a monopoly on violence — and yes, its organs of sovereignty enforcement — the army, the police, the intelligence services — kill, obeying whom? That’s right — the leader).

But in realpolitik, where the state is unofficially seen as a product of a social contract, leaders are "punishing evildoers," "fighting terrorism," "upholding constitutional order" — and all the other fluff meant for the plebs, the naive, and the poor.

The leaders themselves know full well they are killers — and on the horizontal level, they don’t bother with that fluff.

This becomes especially clear once they leave office and are no longer constrained by diplomacy.

Take General Milley (yes, that one). While in office, he was always diplomatic: terrorism, assistance, humanitarian concerns, legality, rules, "we understand," "we’ll look into it," "we’ll think it over," etc.

But once he left his post — the guy didn’t hold back.

For example, commenting on the October 7th massacre, he bluntly said Israel is doing the right thing. Like, if someone killed a couple dozen thousand civilians here in the U.S., we wouldn’t be playing nice — we’d napalm the shit out of whoever did it and kill everyone there to hell and back.

And honestly, the U.S. has done that in history — including nukes. Milley’s not lying. But while he was in office — he was the very model of diplomacy and political correctness.

Same goes for Kissinger — a litmus test for this kind of political fuckery.

When he was a statesman, he’d talk peace-blah-blah. But once he became a retiree, he didn’t mince words.

He literally said about 1973: “So what, Jews were dying and begging for a ceasefire? Fuck it. Let them first show that American weapons are the real deal — then we’ll see. Go on, go on. Fight, fight. Die, die.”

And it’s like that with all of them.

It’s no coincidence Nietzsche called the state the coldest and most deceitful of all monsters — the old man was absolutely right.

So, back to the point — Trump knows damn well that Putin is a killer (just like any leader), but still, he speaks of it with what seems to be sincere disappointment.

I think he’s not upset about Putin being a killer (Trump himself is one — he gave the order to kill Soleimani, for example), but rather that Putin refuses to play by the rules, to step back into the frame, to roll things back (with some consolation prizes in the form of occupied Ukrainian territories).

Like, Trump is earnestly offering him a gentleman’s freeze, trade deals, a gradual lifting of sanctions, and a return to the gentlemen’s club — all those G-summits. But Putin slaps away the outstretched hand and JUST WANTS TO KILL.

I don’t know how well Trump knows his history — but there’s only one way to deal with people who break the rules of the game — force.

Peace through strength is the only position that makes sense when dealing with Moscow, and especially with Putin.

You’re not going to persuade or reason with these bloodthirsty freaks — they only understand getting smacked in the neck.

And fine, you don’t want to do it — but Ukraine is ALREADY DOING IT. Just give it everything it needs — and Putin will be put in his place.

Peace through strength isn’t about phone calls full of disappointed sighs.

Peace through strength is a weapons conveyor belt.
