I saw a post on Reddit today about AI that said, “AI is data, and data can only look backwards. Creativity looks forwards.” And I genuinely need to sit with the weight of that for a while.
Maturing is realizing they never burned witches. They burned midwives, healers, herbalists, and knowledgeable women.
Women who understood medicine, nature, and their own autonomy. Women whose knowledge threatened patriarchal control. The "witch hunts" were never about magic, they were about silencing women who couldn't be controlled.
If you are an empath, you are going to suffer.
Let me tell you why.
You feel everything. Everyone's pain. Everyone's sadness. Everyone's fear. You absorb the energy of every room you walk into. You carry the weight of people who would never carry yours. You give, and give, and give, hoping that someone, someday, will give back. But most people do not have the capacity to give back the way you give. Most people are not built like you. Most people are not feeling the world the way you are feeling it.
And at some point, you will discover that the world is filled with wolves and sheep. And you, my friend, are a sheep. A soft, open, vulnerable sheep walking through a forest of wolves who can smell your kindness from a mile away. They will take advantage of it. At some point you'll discover the world isn't built for people like you to survive.
You will burn out. You will hit a wall. You will realize that not everyone deserves your empathy. You will be disappointed. Over and over again. You shall suffer.
There's a strange yet predictable silence around #Batwara1947 in both left and right wing.
I've seen left wing on social media crying about and hyping even the most forgettable right propaganda films. Right wing does the same in their own way.
But since Batwara 1947 talks only about humanity it doesn't support any agenda and hence the silence from both sides.
Clearly nobody cares about humanity because it doesn't promote hate of any kind. It's also complicated to comprehend for them because the film stands strong against any staunch ideology. When u feel the film is standing by you, it moves to other side. And in no time, it makes the other side uncomfortable too.
And maybe that's why there's hardly enough discussion around the film on social media which only thinks in extremes.
Man saw her, fell in love with her, married her, and together they started their life in India.
It’s been 25 years since he’s been gone, and she’s still here in this country, fighting for the people of India and raised two kids to be good human beings.
On another note, where’s Jasodaben?
Cleopatra spoke nine languages, studied astronomy, medicine, and philosophy at the Library of Alexandria, and ruled Egypt for two decades through war, famine, and Roman invasion. Rome reduced all of it to one word: seductress.
GenZ is scared that it might be the first generation since liberalization who may not have a better life than their parents.
When my generation was getting into the job market (2000-2010) even the most mediocre colleges could deliver 100% placement. Now, even the top colleges cannot guarantee it.
Lionel Messi is the exact reason you should live solely on your own terms.
The man speaks ill of no one. He disrespects neither teammates nor rivals. He is the best to ever do his craft. Yet he has dedicated haters. If ever a man (let alone a player) should have had no haters, it is Messi. Still, on account of nothing but his matchless success, he commands a horde of them.
Do what thou wilt. People will talk regardless.
A life lived minding what people will say is a wasted life.
Just a friendly reminder. Train yourself not to become too emotionally attached to anyone because when they stop communicating or stop talking to you, you might not recover from it. Remember, people wake up with different feelings everyday. That’s why it’s important to stay grounded and not rely too much on anyone for your happiness. Protect your peace.
