Julian Lennon, John Lennon’s son, shared a tweet after running into his dad's Beatles bandmate, Sir Paul McCartney, in an airport lounge.
In a cool twist, Paul was actually listening to a song from Julian’s new album “Jude” on his phone at that very moment.
As many people know, the Beatles’ famous song “Hey Jude” was originally written as “Hey Jules” by Paul back in 1968. It was inspired by Julian, who was only 5 years old at the time, after his father John split from his mom, Cynthia, for Yoko. That’s why Julian named his new album “Jude.”
Now, Paul is 84, and Julian is 63!
“Xanadu” was written and produced by Jeff Lynne specifically for the 1980 musical fantasy film Xanadu. Performed by Olivia Newton-John with the Electric Light Orchestra, the song was recorded at Musicland Studios in Munich, with Olivia providing the lead vocals and ELO contributing the instrumentation and backing vocals.
Released in 1980, “Xanadu” became a major international hit, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks and No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also topped the charts in several European countries and became the only UK No. 1 credited to ELO. The film's dance sequences had already been shot to an earlier demo of the song. When ELO recorded the final version, they had to match the demo's tempo so the finished recording would synchronise with the footage, giving the song its slightly unusual rhythmic feel.

A century ago, Britain and France drew a line through German 'Kamerun' in Africa. The line itself disappeared from the map decades ago.
Yet it still divides Cameroon by language, law, education, and increasingly, by armed conflict.
This is Cameroon’s “Anglophone Problem”.

Marnus Labuschagne has gone 47 Test match innings without a ton. This equals the Australian record number of innings of a Top 4 Test match batter failing to get a 100. The person who he now holds the record with? Alick Bannerman who played his last Test in 1893. #cricketcounts
You'd swear it was CGI, but the elves only look tiny because they stand much farther from the camera than Will Ferrell.
Jon Favreau shot Elf's North Pole scenes with forced perspective, placing actors at different distances so they lined up as if side by side.
The trick goes back to the silent film era, and I'd argue it's why Elf, out in 2003, still charms while plenty of CGI holiday films from then look dated.
