On Friday we had a visit from a Vet. The children had many question that they wanted to ask. They learnt how to bandage an injured dog, so I looked forward to seeing them have a go this week in our role play area!
Well done to the Year 4 Gymnastic Team, who competed at The Spring Festival at Huntington Gymnastic Club today. The children did @isleofelyschool proud! They are the 6th best gymnastic team in Cambridgeshire. Well done!
This week @ButterflyIOE have been stepping through our magic door to create their own stories. The children have also been creating their own story maps and writing story books.
Well done to the Year 4 football team who went and took part in a football tournament at The Kings School. It was the first football team we have had to represent our school. As you can see below, what a fantastic result!
@ButterflyIOE enjoyed reading Eric as part of our World Book Week. Some of the activities throughout the included measuring Eric, making puppets, writing to Eric and much more. Big well done to Jacob for winning best homemade hat for in EYFS.
This week the children have really enjoyed their new topic, Dinosaurs. The children have been describing dinosaurs in Literacy and creating shape dinosaurs in math.The children have created their very own dinosaur museum in the role play area.
WOW what a week we have had in @ButterflyIOE. On Monday we found out that a dragon and a giant had been in our classroom! The children made posters to see if other people in the school had seen the dragon or the giant. I wonder if we will find out more next week!
Butterfly Class have been exploring and investigating what a Daffodil looks like when dissected. They explored the different parts of the plant, the scent of the flower and made observations.
Well done to the children that attended the gymnastic competition today, you were all amazing and showed fantastic team work! The children @isleofelyschool are very proud to have gained a third place and first place!
Thank you to @witchfordSSPfor running our Speed Stacking day at the @isleofelyschool. @ButterflyIOE had so much fun that they have asked to have another go in PE tomorrow!
@ButterflyIOE had great fun helping to make a role play boat on Friday. The children made a steering wheel, engine, map and an exhaust. Next week we are looking at the story Brilliant Boats.
@ButterflyIOE had great fun this week with the weather turning cold and wet. In forest school they made stick pictures and had fun sliding down the mud slides!
Well done to all the children who took part in the speed stacking event at lunchtime today! We took part in an attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for most people sport stacking in one day.
Butterfly Class enjoyed going on many different adventures with their class pets, Tiny Tim and Giraffe the Geoffrey last half term. I wonder where we will go next! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and hope you had a good half term!
