@ccwild79 Many I know do Chris. And did so long before Ofsted became involved. There’s always bad apples in every sector. I see and hear good practice every day.
An honour to feature on Pod Save the UK podcast tomorrow with @lemnsissay, where we talk Free Loaves on Fridays, privatisation, & the lack of gov ambition for care.
Grateful to @MrNishKumar & @cocobyname for shining a light on the above 🙏🏼

It is not widely known, amongst people who grew up in care before 1989, that we owe our rights to access our child care files to a fellow care leaver. That’s why Jim and Rosie have written this short account for Care Experienced History Month. https://t.co/IF11nB7EHt
It’s nearly time to ‘say yes to #NoMowMay and Jun - Jul - Aug’ , a #NoMowSummer as some have highlighted so unplug the mower , silence the strimmer and get the T shirt to celebrate leaving nature to thrive https://t.co/VAsytg146d
“Silent prayer” when men stand outside clinics harassing women about GOD and sin but you never see them outside strip clubs or standing beside betting shops to worry people about the dangers of sex and gambling - weird eh?
“This week I heard that in one local authority 25% of one providers care options in the area are not available to the local authority (when vacant).”

After selling out in 24 hours, pleased to say Free Loaves on Fridays is back in stock on @unbounders!
Brilliant to see the public apetite to listen to care-experienced voices. Our 100 authors are being heard loud and clear.

Lord Anderson of Ipswich (Crossbench), "We are in the end game now"
"The benefits of the Rwanda bill remain to be seen"
"It's costs will be measured not only in money but in principles debased"
"Disregard for our international committmments"
"Avoiding statutory protections for the vulnerable"
"And the removal of judicial scrutiny over the core issue over the safety of Rwanda"
"We are concerned over the safety of Rwanda both in the present and in the future. This bill is honest about neither"
(At 6-45) "The Rwanda bill is a legal fiction that makes the law look like an ass, and those who make it, asses"
Baroness Bennett, "I rise with a heavy heart.. To this this dreadful international law busting bill"
"Amnesty international warned airline companies that many members of the public take an extremely negative view of the Rwanda policy"
"Those were unnecessary words because no company of any repute whatsoever is going to take part in the Rwanda scheme"
"We've had the abomination of the elections act, the elements of a policing act, we've had multiple indefensible restrictions on the right to protest. Now, we are letting through an attack on some of the most vulnerable, desperate people on this planet"
"What more will we let through?"
"I suggest to noble lords as they leave this chamber tonight to ask themselves that question. With a desperate flailing government bereft of ideas, and philosophy without principles. This house will keep being tested"
"So I ask these empty benches. You might be waiting for an election, but what kind of country will it be if you don't stand up now?"
@article_39 I agree it shud b removed. But the reality remains, if anyone in a resi home laid a finger on a child the LADO wud b involved & there will b serious consequences 4 the person. Loss of job, social services involved if they have children & poss criminal charge
