My 5 year old just called cauliflower "ghost broccoli". I'm 99% sure he thought of this term on his own. He's going to be just fine once he's old enough to be on Twitter.
In 2018 > half a ton of tetracyclines were given to farm animals (driving antibiotic resistance to #doxynorris@TorontoIDDoc)
I love antibiotics -they save lives
But antibiotics used because of terribly crowded conditions on farms & to maximize profits -that puts us all at risk
@KikkiPlanet I'm actually keeping my kids home from school next week just because I don't need another damn virus that might cause us to miss Christmas with family.
Can't believe kids are in school up till the 22nd in #cbe. Who is responsible for this sorry sighted scheduling?
@KikkiPlanet We haven't had COVID but my kids brought home a cold in September, strep throat in October (my youngest has it reoccur), the flu in November, and recently a nasty child from which we're still recovering.
2 kids, family of 4, we've been sick 8 weekends out of the past 12.
.@Google if I leave enough Google reviews and answer enough questions about local businesses, can I kindly have more free storage space on my Google account. 'Cause ummm yeah, that'd be great.
@amandalhu just saw the global News peice about ventilation. Please let me know if there's anything the average parent can do to help. I'm interested in supporting.
@AlliAlliG @avmeelliaa Fair enough. Also, I have no idea if my make-shift testing would actually work, just hope. Kids hate the tests. I wish they would bring back the drive thru testing for 5 and under. 2 and under is good but was a weird cut off since 5 and under couldn't get vaxed for so long
@ohheyshaeshae @SkProMasker @AlliAlliG I thought we caught COVID last week (since our neighbours had COVID) but we kept testing negative. Likely the flu since I didn't get shots yet. It was bad. Very similar.
@AlliAlliG @avmeelliaa Grab more tests if you can, test yourself. My 4yo hates the tests too. I've been testing him by swabbing his mouth and getting him to blow his nose on a rag (Kleenex is too absorbent) and then I swab the boogers (if there are any).
