Risk split: 50% at the lower high from 2 days ago, 50% at the Feb 6 low.
I expect a crypto rebound if equity indices stay constructive. Bad news for crypto seem to be priced in for now (see $COIN).
Went long crypto today, mainly $ETH and $HYPE:
- Crypto with relative strength vs equities the last days
- $COIN up +18% despite bad earnings
- $OTHERS showing relative strength vs $BTC for last month
- Sentiment is washed out. Everybody hates crypto and it is going to 0.
Friends who crushed the $BYND short. I've seen a lot of big PnL screenshots and execs to go along with it. I actually lost money in the short. I haven't really seen much explanation for the rationale behind it. Obviously it was up a lot. But the velocity and how it stuck the downside landing really surprised me intraday.
What were you thinking to crush this? What was I missing?
As traders you are inevitably going to miss set ups and mess up trades - its very important to learn lessons what you may have missed from people that did well.
We are clearly on the backside going into the open, so you can be willing to assume more risk. I understand that. @Steven1_994 Those shorts with my arrow? You are able to just hold through that? Just conviction this is going down? Why? Smaller size initially?
After seeing some execs from several traders was that 7.50 failed breakout the big green flag? Why specifically that level?
Also as far as taking profits - I saw execs from @thelaptoplegend - how were you able to hold so well into that down move? It was wednesday so no real expectation from me on a massive option gamma unwind. What made this one so special for that epic hold?
I generally do very well in these types of exhaustion gap shorts. For me though they usually come from a place where the stocks are far above the 10 and 20 day MA SMCI, MSTR, RGTI - etc. This one was different for me due to its low float nature. It was more of like a $GME or $AMC short from 2021, but the unwind this had was so abrubt. I didn't think this was possible at all. Also I do have to add, mentally felt very tapped out after trading GLD and RGTI aggressively for multiple days in a row, I wonder if that had something to do with it.
Please educate me friends! I'm never too old or too experienced to learn something new.
Missed the $BYND short yesterday, but I collected a bunch of great trade reviews and executions below. Huge shoutout to everyone who nailed it. If I missed any good reviews/execs, feel free to drop them here.
$BYND absolute 5* day 3 parabolic... decent account mover for me.. insane liquidity on this move too for bigger accounts too..started pre-mkt 8.3 wiht adds in 7s area, not much size.. traded 6.6-7ish range for covers.. then hit it opening range lows w vwap adds, covered on break above.. reshorted post unhalt on breach of VWAP (FBO)..
once LOD goes its confo that its done for the day, hesitated to add size there - something to work on..
overall, textbook textbook short with the exception of the initial shakeout maybe? even then not too tricky...
took covers abit too early 4ish on way down, but shorted 1st bounce to the intraday 10/20 MAs on5min to 4.7-4.8..
intraday M/R long opps (1) at 3.6-3.7 unhalt on first dump.. and 2nd opp around 3 (2) abit less obvious to me... something for everyone.. today
my plan pre was to focus on M/R short day 3 on any gap above 5.. so 8+ levels pre were a gift..
going to consider moving away from ORB entirely on the super liquid ones.. seems like first range at vwap even if lower in price than ORB offers much better R:R again and again even on subsequently clean runouts..
$BYND One of the cleanest price action out of all opps in 2025. Not a PR day, I still (1) hesitated on shorting/adding size on break downs $6.5, $6, $4, and (2) taking position out too soon. But I like how I'm reading the EV changing dynamic and being able to navigate that. 🔥
$BYND | MR
Opp of the year - multi TF alignment, unlimited liquidity, retail frenzy, super clean PA & tape. Honestly think I traded this about as well as I could’ve; certainly one of my best charts of the year. It should’ve been a PR trade but it isn’t. I traded it from a position of comfort instead of leaning into the risk that this trade deserved.
2 Ls short in the PM, positioned short again on the turn around which I traded for hours, flipped long on the washout, short again in the $4.6s, covered that through $3, and flipped long one last time.

BYND +$27k
I would call this a MSTR grade opportunity, still one step below SMCI, but definitely a top 5 I have ever seen.
I am happy that I was willing to risk a bit more on this even though my normal trading is still recovering.
I lost -5k on those 3 frontside attempts before it finally rolled over.
Cheers and congrats to anyone who traded.
$BYND short.. lost a bit front side but then once it confirmed 7 failure i started chasing size short. That 2nd leg at 4.50s to 2.70s i probably could have doubled my day as it was very clean, you could see a big seller on tape.. Next time ill crush long side first 😅
$BYND +24.65R Net: Started in short with low conviction early on to get a feel for it, trimmed very small piece in premarket and then repositioned.
After the open, same thing, I cut a small piece per my rules and then added back more than previously.
On these meme names with huge volume, it's a good idea to take some/all off at logical levels and so I did that on the exhaustion towards previous close and then re-added back full for the final stretch price target.
I apologize for being yet another one of the P/L posts from today, but have to celebrate the milestones as they come.
+$1,326,130.12 today (PR), and first 7 figure intraday trade ever, on $BYND.
Thought this gave some really good spots short and long. Definitely could've sized up more on the short but didnt fully trust that 7.50 clearout highs as a risk level while it was still at a decent price to add.
$BYND
Ultra liquid and retail filled liquidation and panic.
-70% from highs into whole number and half number.
free flowing emotions created purity in the price action.
Volume capitulation, bought illimited multi M starter and added as proven right given liquidity was illimited. No problem moving 7fig shares in 1sec.
Kept it simple, PT was stopouts into the next whole number.
Started swing shorts in $RGTI, $QBTS, and $IREN off LOD breaks. All showing solid relative weakness vs. SPY/QQQ today. Let’s see if they finally crack.
After a slow stretch, small caps are heating up again with $SOPA, $ONMD, and $ARBK leading the action. Caught my best small-cap long ever on $SOPA today with around 15 R. Picture-perfect breakout action after tight consolidations. Loaded up big on that 14:30 fake breakdown reclaim. Absolute banger💥
$OCTO – what a move!! Long only for me given the Worldcoin treasury news and $BMNR / Tom Lee investment. After the 10am push, $OCTO consolidated with clear support, and I entered long on the breakout attempt as volume picked up. Trailed my last partial for a YOLO +$100 move, but got taken out on the big down candle.
