Back in 06’ I was a batboy for a Mets-Astro’s game in Houston. In the dugout David Wright pulled @paulloduca16 & Sandy Alomar Sr. aside, pointed at me, laughed & called me the chubbier/shorter version of Paul. It was one of the the coolest moments of my life #DavidWright#LGM
The Mets have announced tonight's game vs. the Cubs has been postponed due to weather.
The game will be rescheduled for Wednesday June 24 at 1:10p.m. as part of a split-admission doubleheader
"We've got to prove that things are going to change. We've played better since April, but we still haven't played consistent enough to dig ourselves out of a hole that we dug in April, and we're aware of that"
- David Stearns
As the #Knicks rallied with a game-winning 2-pointer, NYers held their number 1! At the final whistle & for the next 7 mins, NYC saw a water‑use spike equal to 368,697 🚽 flushes! As the Knicks surged, we fought the urge… because we knew the team was on the verge… OF HISTORY!
"This got to be one of the greatest games, one of the greatest comebacks ever in the history of the NBA" - Carmelo Anthony on the @NYKnicks performance in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

As the story goes, when the #Mets drafted Lastings Milledge in 2003, Jeff Wilpon wanted no part of him. Jeff wanted the organization to draft Jeff Allison, but the Director of Amateur Scouting Director Jack Bowen, thought Milledge was the better prospect. I was told at the time that it was a pretty serious argument between Jeff and the scouting staff, and somehow, the staff was able to win the day.
I have always felt that Milledge, someone I covered during his minor league career, was handled terribly by the Mets, especially by Willie Randolph and the vets on the team at the time. I also feel like Jeff Wilpon played a role in that, as by the time he made it to the big club (2006), Jeff was well entrenched as the COO.
Milledge made his mistakes, sure, and was far from a choirboy. But I always found him to be a kid who was easy to root for.
6/4/2006 With the Mets down a run in the tenth, Lastings Milledge ties the game with a home run off Armando Benítez. Milledge then high-fives fans down the right-field line on his way out to his position.
