Recap: Today’s chase was nothing short of insane. I had my doubts earlier this morning regarding the MCS, but supercells that formed in the warm sector took full advantage of the volatile environment and ended up dropping multiple large tornadoes. Today will be a day to remember
@GumryWX@seanvoysey Thanks for the reply. Interestingly enough, we also had RFD at our location, despite being more than 2-2.5 miles south of you. Which is why we thought it may have been a tor.
@NWSLincolnIL potentially put down another tornado near Toluca around 8:25PM as seen from this video taken at the intersection of CR 300 and IL-117 https://t.co/Agqad2a9xu
Not sure what we got here (gustnado or something more?) at 8:26pm about 2-2.5 miles south of Toluca looking due north. Also have video at 8:31 of it seemingly still going. Two power flashes seem to be visible and we noticed an apparent transformer fire after. @NWSLincolnIL
@NWSLincolnIL has confirmed a tornado north of Lacon and Varna last night. We had visual on the base but were too far away to see the (likely ucondensed) tornado. This was taken at 8:05 PM just west of La Rose on CR 400. We then believe the storm cycled and (1/2)
@JordanHallWX Not sure if this also includes the storm when it was all the way back near Varna, but i’m pretty sure we saw something. Whether thats a gustnado or tornado i’m not sure. We did see two power flashes and a transformer caught on fire.
@wxkylegillett Was this June 19th near Regent, ND? We got there about 10 minutes too late to see the tornado but managed to keep up with it as the cell was dying and got some insane shots. The last panorama picture is probably in the top 10 for pictures i’ve taken.
