During remote learning of the 20-21 school year, Mrs. Bagnasco’s students read Lemonade Wars, then used design process to draw out their own. Last year’s freshman engineers then learned CAD to draft their idea. This year’s robotic team then built it while learning to use tools.
⚙️⚙️⚙️ At Las Sendas Elementary, students in the STEM INSTITUTE displayed projects for the advisory committee and @TheRedMtnWay@STEMi_MPS to show the Design Thinking Process! Presenting ideas and feedback are 🔑 to the process! ⚙️⚙️⚙️

Thank you @JagThinkerspace for hosting the Elementary Design Network Plc. The amazing conversations between teachers, principals and support staff from 6 elementary communities in the RMHS Feeder pattern about our awesome students using Design Thinking was inspiring!
Congratulations to Jacob and Preston! Their project Air Compression Aid designed in conjunction w/ Mesa Fire Station 8 near Falcon Field has been funded by a grant they wrote through @EPICSatASU part @ASUEngineering! Designing real solutions to real challenges in their community!
The art of Design Thinking is that you are explaining, exploring and understanding your thinking as well as others. Mr. Kresge’s IED students facilitating a symposium on learning prior to pumpkin launching assessment is an awesome example of breaking down the silos of learning!
What an amazing day @LasSendasMPSAZ watching the kickoff of @STEMi_MPS design challenge focusing on water! Mrs. Smith did an outstanding job creating sparks! I cannot wait to see the seeds of inquiry grow!!!! https://t.co/ixJmRhdHFc
