@BarryToohey He isn't wrong about Sandon. He missed so many tackles in defence, couldn't kick goals, and absolutely butchered the last set. Other than that we were very gallant despite the circumstances.
@BarryToohey We don't need 'great trainers', we need 'great players' Baz. And Thomas Cant aint a great player and won't ever be. Doesn't bend the line with the ball, not quick, terrible hands, undersized. Just another bog-standard local that tries hard. Easily replaceable. Like Brodie Jones.
@foksleague 'ken oath. A local junior wins 2 premierships at said local club, but needs to move away to achieve exact same thing, while forgetting she would be the significant reason the hometown club might win another premiership. Almost like she was promised a bag more cash off the books.
@JarrodLitt46466@BarryToohey But why apply that standard to Ron? They've employed a bloke now to coach NRL now that has absolutely no business coaching an elite rugby league team. And they've tolerated that for 6 years.
@BarryToohey And Baz, not saying I disagree with your character assessment of him, just that it speaks to a larger problem about the type of players that make it from the Knights juniors. I don't feel like AOB has the nous to coach anyone where the instructions aren't 'run hard tackle hard'.
@BarryToohey This is the problem with large portions of the roster. Too many undersized toilers. The types that make it because they 'work hard' but don't actually have the talent to make a difference and the ones that don't develop through good coaching. We need more dynamic enforcers.
@vella_jay@BarryToohey Knights are pretty happy to make excuses for their lame duck coach. A comfortable coach supported by comfortable management with comfortable ambitions - 8th place every year.
@MichaelG0061@auGigaShaw@PhilGould15 Why would you have 20 rounds per group? Each team can only play 9 opposition sides, so shouldn't it be 18 rounds per group?
@Adamkriz296327@BarryToohey Giving a coach 'a chance' because he recruited someone is exactly what's wrong. A professional club has a system in place and a brand of football they want to play. Then they find coaches to fit that. He's had 6 years. Dylan Brown was not the missing link.
